The onsen had nice views and some of the food was excellent, especially the asari tsukudani. The staff were mostly polite and friendly. It was also nice that the hotel provided a shuttle bus.

Amazing location, up on a hill overlooking the inland sea. Quiet and peaceful, but also very close to shops and restaurants. The rooms are stylish, and the huge windows overlooking the beach are wonderful!

The facilities were great. Located within walking distance to Angel Road and you can see it from just outside. Loved the onsen style shower and bath! With lovely olive oil shampoo and soap. Our room was basic but had all the necessities! For three of us it was a little bit cramped up, but we managed. Would definitely stay again :)

Irou was difficult to find but once you're there, it's lovely. There are signs along the way to the place, but arriving in the late evening, they were difficult to see. Getting in was easy, I was informed by Iro several times (thank you), where the key is, the pass code for the door, and a comprehensive booklet is inside. The spacious studio apartment looks out to sea, a welcoming view in the morning. Aircon/upright oil heater in the room, comfortable beds etc. Clean, spacious, comfortable and sea views. I would recommend this if you want to stay on the western side of the island. Take food with you, as there aren't too many eateries around there.

Great value for money, located right by the port, with great access to the rest of the island. The host was friendly, accommodating, and went out of their way to help, despite the langugage barrier (which with a little google translate, really isn't so much a barrier nowadays anyway). Also, I received a free room upgrade! Who can complain!
