Very conveniently located next to Kyoto Station (APA have a number of properties located around the station so make sure you Google Map the correct one). There is also a 7Eleven a few yards up the road from it.
Spacious rooms (we booked the inter-connecting ones which are roomy) and very helpful and friendly staff. Hotel has an inhouse laundry room which came in handy as we had ran through many of our clothes by the time we were getting to Kyoto.
Also has tatoo-friendly in-house onsens for men and women.

We really liked the central location but did not like how small and compact the bedroom, bed and bathroom were.

Great location but just a bit gimmicky. Shower & toilet were good.
The beds were very firm and the pillows were so lumpy it’s hard to know what the filling is. Space was very tight.
