Amazing picturesque location!
Amazing picturesque location! Mineral water was natural and wonderful. Be prepared to sleep on a futon on the floor, but other than that very comfortable. People are very nice anyways in Japan, but the staff here was particularly helpful and accommodating. Free shuttle bus from Jomo-Kogen was a real plus which enabled us to get there from Tokyo via Shinkansen. Wish we could have stayed longer!Guest review byIraUnited States - Review score10.0

Thank you super nice lady at the front desk who greeting me upon arrival and during all my stay which make me feel welcome. The mountain view of the outdoor onsen, the snow falling down, was incredible. Very good food quality and hospitality of serving staff. Great place for skiing.
Great place for skiing. We tried Houdaigi Ski area and Minakami kogen200 ski resort. Both were excellent. Houdaigi is just a ski area with a restaurant and gift shops. The ski slopes are good. Minakami kogen200 is a hotel with attached ski area, which makes it a ski resort I guess. Very old town, many of the restaurants and shops were closed...
Very old town, many of the restaurants and shops were closed - probably because of COVID-19. The nature is truly beautiful there, huge mountains, lots of natural water and flowers. There are also many hiking trails that can be a bit tricky to find but it's definitely worth it to do some research about the area.Guest review byErikaJapan
