The property itself is amazing. The age of the home makes you just wonder what stories the walls could tell. Finding something like this is a once in a lifetime experience and we were so happy to get that experience.

Room was big and there was a nice sitting area with view of the mountains. Futons and pillows were comfortable. There was a free shuttle to the train station. Food was good (3000 yen, 2000 for dinner and 1000 for breakfast pp).

Unique luxury camping experience with a lovely and clean kitchen and common area. Beautiful views of the valley. Very comfortable tents. Food was excellent (need to order ahead of time)

This was a great location right in the centre of Magome-juku. Check in was easy with a place to leave your bags earlier in the day. We had a private room for two people with enough floor mats to make it very comfortable. Facility was very clean. Shared bathrooms and showers were plentiful. We had the dinner and breakfast for an extra charge. This was well worth it. The food was delicious and they accommodated our vegetarian diet.

In The middle of the beautiful town Magome…. Great location with easy access to a cafe and other restaurants. Super friendly staff. Extremely clean. Comfortable beds ( we had bunker beds). The owner was fast in responding questions during my booking.

Tastefully decorated, pleasant dining experience with partitions between dining each party, balcony with a Mountain view, beautiful kimono set in the room for guest to wear throughout. The only issue is it is 20 min away from Tsumago town or Najiso town, in the middle of mountains, so don’t expect shops or restaurants nearby! But the air is fresh, the site is quiet and nice, and the hotel has a free shuttle bus for pickup and drop at fixed hours. It was fine for us.

The staff were very responsive and friendly! The location was excellent being located right next to the train station. There were excellent amenities with a full kitchen. The entire place was very well decorated and very homely. I would recommend it to anyone travelling around Nagiso!

We loved our stay with Ken and Yuki! They are genuinely welcoming hosts and have created a lovely space. Communication before check in was proactive, and upon arrival they were sure we had all the necessary information about the area. Thanks for your kindness and laughter--we wish we could have stayed longer!

it was great to stay right on the Old Nakasendo Way, in an authentic traditional house. It was an easy walk to the Suhara train station, supermarket and restaurants. We took a train and bus to Magome-juku one day and walked via Magome Pass to Tsumago-juku - which was an absolute highlight of our 3 weeks in Japan.
