Very nice experience overall. The staff were wonderful and incredibly friendly, and the food was absolutely amazing.

Amazing location overlooking the river in a very stylish venue. The hosts were highly accommodating (giving us a map plus areas of interest) and provided an excellent Japanese-style breakfast in the morning for 1000 yen.

Very cool old house refurbished with modern fittings. Easy to understand instructions to get in. Had everything we needed - a mini kitchen with cooking utensils, comfy bed (we only slept upstairs), great location (short walk from Mitake station - about 10mins), safe surroundings (right across the Mitake post office), and easy access to hikes around (an enjoyable 40mins walk to the mitake cable car station). It happened to snow when we were there - it took awhile for the house to warm up since it was big. The best thing was the big onsen tub and the bath salts - very much needed after long hikes each day. Great little balcony upstairs to chill out and watch the sun set over the mountains.
The team was very responsive, which was very much appreciated. When we left, unfortunately train lines got cancelled and we were stranded. They couldn't help, but they answered our questions readily. We acknowledge the effort. Would highly recommend.
