The two people who ran the hotel were extremely nice and friendly, and their cats were also lovely to see. The area is very secluded and peaceful, very idyllic. The shuttle service between Yumoto-Onsen and the hotel was an absolute lifesaver.

We drive from Tokyo and this hotel is the only one we found can check in until 11 pm. The owner is very friendly and warmed to us. We live in a tatami room with a toilet. In the first floor you can use shower and bath. If you want to go hiking in 尾瀬Oze, this is a good choice since it is 5 mins drive to the bus station to hiking place. The breakfast is really good( traditional Japanese style)and the quilt is comfortable and warm.

We had an excellent two-night stay at this lovely hotel in Chuzenji Onsen, right in the heart of Nikko National Park. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Our room was spacious, with a comfortable sofa and a beautiful view of Lake Chuzenji — a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
The hotel features a small but very pleasant onsen, using water from the famous Yumoto hot spring — a wonderful way to unwind after a day of exploring. We opted for the half board option, and it was absolutely worth it. Each dinner was unique, beautifully presented, and made up of many delicious courses, all served with great attention to detail.
Everything was spotless and comfortable, with check-in and check-out being completely hassle-free. A truly relaxing and memorable stay — we would love to return!

We had such a fabulous stay here! The location was perfect - right on the lake. It was super clean, cozy, comfortable and warm. Lovely tea and coffee provided and some chocolates. There was also extras you could help yourself too. The lady who owned it / worked there was so kind and accommodating, always smiling and happy to help. When we left she actually gave us some little cakes and crisps as snacks for our journey home, how kind? It was super quiet and so amazing for the price. I would definitely stay here again!
