Keep your expectations low and you will love it!
It’s a beach front property. The location is unbeatable and the beach is absolutely gorgeous. I had a wonderful seaview from my room. The property is old and run down but there wasn’t anything I missed. The rooms had everything I needed, the beds were comfortable. The included food (half board) was delicious. The reef was very good and I even saw turtles. If you are looking for some peace and quiet on a beautiful beach, this is the place for you.
HOTEL KANALOA provides free WiFi throughout the property and rooms with air conditioning in Tokashiki. There's a restaurant serving Japanese cuisine, and free private parking is available.

New and clean! Tatami mats with futons very comfortable. Recommended adding the breakfast package. Hotel staff speak some English and very accommodating.

Staff is very accommodating, front desk went put of the way to make sure we understood everything including shuttle times, especially since we were foreigners. Restaurant was amazing and fair priced. Very understanding, before we even asked they already told us we could store our luggage in front desk, since there was am awkward time between check out and the ferry departure. We are so grateful for welcoming us on their island.

They picked me up and dropped me off at the Tokashiki port. They let me check in really early at 10 am and check out late at 2:30 pm, which was when my ferry rides from/to Naha were scheduled for. They served really delicious Japanese meals for breakfast and dinner. It's also so close to the Aharen beach, just 2 minutes walking away. I will definitely consider returning in the future.

Our family stay at Aloha was lovely. Although the weather was quite rainy, the space was nice for hanging out, making food (bbq was a nice touch) and enjoying the rental. The yard is quite nice with yoga platform, swing, and shaded porch. We rented a vehicle from the folks next door and that experience was great. The rental is convenient to small market and convenience store, and easily accessible from the ferry.

Comfy bed, firm and great for my back. After a good swim and stretch, my backaches were all gone. Excellent restaurant on site. The dinner was a highlight and probably my best dinner in Okinawa. It is a must do.

Okay to start: the annex is owned by the same owners of the St Marie Zamami. They were doing some reservations on the annex so they graciously upgraded us to the St Marie. Don’t count on this, we just got lucky.
Since we had the chance to check out both properties I’ll review both.
Regarding the staff, AMAZING at both properties (same people).
St Marie Zamami is literally starring out at the ocean, you can look at the boats entering/departing the small port on this amazing island.
Annex is only a few blocks from the same harbor, but when i say blocks, maybe a 4 minute walk from one property to the other. The annex was along the lines of a really nice hostel. Everything you need (except hot showers, but if you’re coming during peak season that won’t be a problem)
Overall 12/10, exceeding expectations and received amazing service.
Located in Zamami, a few steps from Maehama Beach, Blue Suites Hanamuro on the beach provides accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace.

I was there for five days (planned for seven days to include five days of diving), and my stay was cut short by the threat of a typhoon. Tokashiki is quiet - you have to make your own activities, which are water-based. We found a couple of exceptional restaurants and a food truck with great vibes. Lots of friendly locals.

The beach here really is one of the best in Japan, maybe one of the best in the world.
Crabs and coral and beautiful seashells everywhere. It's so natural.
Beautiful white sand and blue sea.
Best of all is under the water. Coral gardens, colorful fish, sea turtles

Tokashiki is the largest of the Kerama Islands.
Tokashiki is the largest of the Kerama Islands. There are some great spots for swimming, snorkeling, and diving from the shore, but a boat trip will be required for some of the other spots, particularly the northern portion of the island. The roads are narrow, but it's worth touring around the island on some of the back roads for the various views and wildlife.
