Daiwa Roynet Hotel Nishi-Shinjuku in Tokyo features 4-star accommodation with a shared lounge.

Good location very clean . The room had everything you needed very functional . The gentleman in reception when we arrived after a 16 hour flight was so welcoming and polite to us . It was our first time in Japan so mattered for us . We also dealt with a young lady trainee at reception who was super lovely to us . Great idea that you can pick up extras that you need like tea coffee and shave cream for men . Face cream and wash . It prevents waste and you can take what you need . My husband drinks a lot of green tea so this was great to have . The Laundry service is ideal and you can watch it on your TV to see if it’s available and keep a check when your washing is finished .

FAQs about hotels in Tokyo

See It to Believe It!

The capital of Japan, Tokyo is a vast, teeming metropolis nestled between mountains and Tokyo Bay. It’s so huge that you’ll have to come to grips with public transport and maybe even experience being pushed onto a train. Yes, it does actually happen!

Get your bearings by ascending the Tokyo World Trade Centre near the waterfront, and savour the fantastic views taking in the red-and-white Tokyo Tower and Shinkuju’s skyscrapers. North is Ueno, home to the best museums (including the Tokyo National Museum) and a large park bursting with cherry blossom in spring.

Equally tranquil are the Chiyoda Imperial Palace and Gardens, surrounded by water. Also in gardens is the Meiji Jingu Shinto shrine in Shibuya, a youthful district where neon abounds.

For more traditional Japanese culture, head to Asakusa whose Sensō-ji Buddhist temple is Tokyo’s oldest temple. Markets in the grounds sell a variety of wares, though shopping in Tokyo is, of course, fantastic wherever you go.

Whether you stay in a Japanese ryokan, luxury Tokyo hotel or a hostel, don’t fly out of Tokyo Narita Airport or Haneda Airport without having tried sushi. Another Japanese institution is the sento (public bath) and onsen (hot springs bath) – a must try. Also incredibly popular are Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, Asia’s 2 most visited theme parks.

Tokyo is a once in a lifetime destination (for me anyway).

Tokyo is a once in a lifetime destination (for me anyway). Loved the crazy vibe, but it's not for the faint of heart! It is crowded almost everywhere. You have to simply accept it and go with it. We explored several neighborhoods in the city, many parks, Temples and Shrines. We spent about 10 days total in the city, including some day trips away. Lots and lots of walking! Trains were fabulous-- worth figuring them out and taking advantage of the ease of traversing the city via train.

Wonderful time to visit during cherry blossom.

Wonderful time to visit during cherry blossom. Very big city that provides all kinds of restaurants, shopping and sight seeing. If you drive out, you can visit greater Tokyo regional area such as Mt Fuji, Kamakura and Hakone. Good to drive out to the region and then back to the city to explore the beautiful city that has many things to offer to the visitors. I like the landscape, view & the food. All are good in Tokyo including the vast public transport system which is so efficient.

Great location, great staff, comfy rooms and clean facilities. The lunch menu at Bellustar restaurant was awesome, simply delicious. The hotel is on Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, where you also have Bandai Namco Tokyo, an awesome food hall with live music and great food, as well as bars and restaurants. Close to the Shinjuku station as well. All around, I would definitely visit again. Thanks for everything!

The location the the hotel is great in Shinjuku, only a short walk to the nearest subway station at Tochomae on the Oedo line. You could get around easily from there. The staff were pleasant and spoke good English. There is a Family Mart (kind of a 7/11 type thing) a couple of doors down that is open 24 hours a day where you can get some really decent food.

Like the other reviews have stated, the decor is a little outdated however the rooms were a decent size (for Tokyo) and great location for public transport. My husband and I caught the limousine bus direct from Narita airport to the hotel and back when leaving. Staff were friendly and helpful - overall we had a nice stay
