This hotel exceeded my expectation. The bed was great and the best during my 11 day-stay in Japan. Although the price was not as high as that of the best hotels, the quality of the room, amenity, and service were almost comparable to those of the best hotels. I will use this hotel whenever I stay in shin-Yokohama!

Lovely pre & post cruise meant we spent two whole days in this lovely city. Gorgeous public parks and promenade with cherry blossom & flowers. The air Car is a lovely trip with a big department store either end for shopaholics and walking around the red brick building near the terminal was nice. China town is a must see with gorgeous eateries and all I have mentioned is an easy walk and hotels are at least half the cost of Tokyo and far more relaxed!

Lots to see right in Yokohama.
Lots to see right in Yokohama. I enjoyed Minatomirai, Yamashita Park, Chinatown. If your stay is longer, it is easy to get to other nearby locations. Great Buddah in Kamakura, Central Tokyo (Ginza, Shinjuku, Shibuya) is just an hour away by train.

Not much to do there.
Not much to do there. Plenty of urban development along the port front area such as Minato Mirai, Red Brick Warehouse, etc but that's about it. You can take the Air Cabin gondola to take in the nice view of the CBD. A couple interesting museums like Cup Noodles and Anpanman. Overall, good for shopping (ex-Tokyo) I guess. And then there's the historic Chinatown, the largest in Japan, which can be a great cultural and gastronomic experience.

A lovely trown with a very vibrant feeling in the city center.
Surrounded by lush gardens and the harbour you cant go wrong.
They have everything you could want, its like tokyo alternative, but in some ways better, the speed is a little slower, and you can take it easy, or party hard depending on what you like.
The town is steeped in history(but thats everywhere in Japan).
It was my 10th trip to japan, but 1st to yokohama, yokohama is now on my plan for every future trip

I took my 10 year old son to visit my brother who lives in Northern Yokohama. We stayed in a quieter more suburban area of Yokohama, but with a Pasmo card and the Jorudan webpage, getting around the whole Toyoko area was easy. I liked being able to eat out in the evenings with no waiting/queueing, and having easy access to a big supermarket was a plus. It's also much closer to Haneda airport than Narita, so that made the connecting in and out on our trip much quicker and easier. It was ideal as a calm and safe place to take a child, whilst still allowing easy access to places like Shibuya, Akihabara, Ueno and Kamakura within an hour's train ride.

Stayed on the 34th floor, lovely views of the city during the day and night. From my room you could just see the Yokohama Bay Bridge. 5-7min walk to Shin-Yokohama station which is not where the city centre is, getting to the city centre takes an extra 20 minutes or so by train. Conventional hotel with a nice buffet breakfast option with Western and Japanese foods to choose from. Staff were extremely friendly, nice and polite.
A great location! Yokohama Royal Park Hotel is located directly above Yokohama Landmark Plaza, which connects to many other shopping centres and metro stations (e.g. Sakuragicho Station), making it a great starting point to explore other parts of Yokohama. Our room was spacious and had a stunning view of Yokohama, and the staff were super helpful, especially during checkout when we were struggling with our luggage.
Great value, the hotel was extremely clean and had a great view of Yokohama bay. The room was decently large by Japanese standards. The Family Mart inside the hotel was a huge plus as I went in winter and it was a little cold outside at night. The hotel was only a few block from the train station as well as many attractions and great places to eat.
I have to highlight the staff. Third time I stay at Hilton Yokohama. Always great. The lady at the entrance half English and half Japanese, super staff. Also Ms. Bernan, has been great with me. Good people
