We loved this place! It was like being in the middle of Nairobi of the future rather than Nairobi of the past. Great staff, fabulous check-in experience. The food was good quality and tasty.

After a day in the buzzing city of Nairobi, Drexel House is like stepping into a peaceful oasis. The moment we arrived, we felt the tranquility wash over us, birds singing, a gentle breeze rustling the leaves, and the chaos of the city fading into the background. I was traveling with my 6-year-old son, and he summed it up best:
“The boss is nice, the girls too. The fruit juice was yummy. Good food. Sleeping in bed was fun. Waking up was fun too. I like the house and also inside. Tasty ice cream. We could chill. I swam from one side to the other.”
Honestly, I couldn’t have put it better myself! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, especially to my son. It’s rare to find a place that feels so genuine, where hospitality isn’t just a job but a natural way of being. The house itself is stylish, comfortable, and just a short drive from Nairobi. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat while exploring the city, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommended!
We were met on arrival by Naomy who was very friendly and helpful. The location was close to tourist attractions - Giraffe Centre, Karen Blixen Museum. Bomas of Kenya. It was in a gated community so felt safe.
Very clean and comfortable, good facilities and convenient location less than 5 minutes walk from the shops and restaurants at Karen Waterfront. The host Jacque is helpful and very responsive.
Great location, comfortable and well equipped apartment with very friendly and responsive host. Basically everything we needed for a few days work and meetings in Karen area.
