This was our favourite place in Cambodia. Peaceful by the river, gorgeous clean air conditioned rooms. Delicious food and drinks, best food so far! Wonderful staff, smiley and remembered our names always which is very sweet. They have scooters you can rent and kayaks you can just use. Very leafy and green and spacious. Great views as the restaurant is on stilts. All in all a lovely stay!

The place was nice enough a little busy on the main road as there was construction underway. Felt like the pictures on this site are not quite up to date slightly misrepresnted. Staff were very friendly. Only down fall was the rooms smelled a little musty. All in all not a bad spot

Nice guesthouse in a house with a large outdoor area filled with trees. You can pick the mango whenever you want and there are hammocks everywhere. Cats and dogs and chicken roam in some areas. Rooms are well-equipped and furnished. Scooters and tuktuks available as it’s a bit far from center. Really nice family breakfast and food is great. Great and chill vibes overall.

Beautiful hotel. Everything is so clean and new. Swimming pool was wonderful to relax in after hot days of touring the area. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. Having bathrobes provided was a wonderful touch. Shower was also exceptional. It is in a quiet area of town- easy to walk into town along the water if you want, or easy to get tuk tuks as well. Although the facilities are amazing, it is the hotel staff who really make this place exceptional! Highly recommend and definitely plan to stay again!

Beautiful place friendly staff. Language barrier in English was a little difficult but that is the norm in most places. Only down fall was the rooms toilet had a small leak. Other than that newer build of a place great staff and super relaxed. Could probably use a bit more of an onsite food option but good value for your money. Would stay there again.

    Enjoyed three days just outside of town.

    Enjoyed three days just outside of town. We used it as a hub to visit Bokor National park, La Fontaine pepper farm and the salt flats via a scooter. The town has a nice river walkway, a cute food court area in a Central Park and a book cafe which we enjoyed. Nice kayaking area just west of town.

    It was hard to see so many alcoholic older expat men living...

    It was hard to see so many alcoholic older expat men living there. I did go into one of the girly bars with a friend one night and they let you drink your beer without to much bother. if you showed and interest in them of course then they would start the hustle on ya but otherwise they let you be. Usually these places are horrible with the aggressive working girls and I just leave. But it was different here.

    Very relaxed city. All types of food, bars, hotels etc. People are very warm and friendly. Beautiful river setting. Plenty to keep you occupied, e.g., kayaking, visiting the Bokor national park, sitting and reading in a river side cafe, particularly up stream from the city (e.g., Champa Lodge).

    I loved the trip to Bokor Mt.

    I loved the trip to Bokor Mt. It's beautiful temples and history .Totally loved seeing those healthy happy Silver gibbons in their natural habitat. I was getting addicted to Tuk Tuk rides ,they were so much fun and very cheap. But it was good to be able to give the very skilled drivers a tip. They were so helpful and courteous.The river cruise was beautiful and although it was the wrong season to be spotting fireflys ,it was very serene and lovely to see other resorts and quaint little buildings from the boat. Not much Birdlife though.I thought would be cormorants and ducks.And I'm kind of glad that roasted Rat wasn't on my agenda😮

    Kampot may not be a big town, but it has plenty of things to...

    Kampot may not be a big town, but it has plenty of things to offer: cruising on the river, kayaking, visits of pepper plantations, trips to nearby Kep or to the mountains... We could have easily spent another day or two in Kampot. The atmosphere dowtown is lively, especially at night, with many restaurants, bars, night markets etc.

    Sorry to say but Kampot was a let down for us - the centre...

    Sorry to say but Kampot was a let down for us - the centre of town seems to have been taken over by washed out European men, hanging out in sleazy bars, with 3 or 4 Cambodian "ladies" on call. If that is what you want, then could be a good shout, but as a boring couple (man + woman), then we felt a bit out of place! Would imagine the town authorities will need to address this challenge before tourists don't bother going.

    If you want to take a rest and relax after thrilling days in Phnom Penh or Siem Reap, Kampot Sweet Boutique ist the place to go. Location is a bit outside the city and not near any noisy roads so it is perfectly calm, but you can still reach the city within 5 minutes by TukTuk, car oder scooter (they rent scooters at the hotel). The rooms are really big and the pool was so beautiful!

    Perfect retreat minutes by tuktuk from the centre of Kampot. The room was lovely, spacious and clean. Whilst the hotel does not provide a restaurant, they have a free tuktuk into town at any time. To get back to the hotel only costs $2.00 in a tuktuk. The hotel rooms are great and the pool is perfect. If we return to Kampot in the future we will definately stay here again.

    Excellent location, right on the roundabout so a 2 minute walk to town and food. If you are a runner like us there is a free 400m track right next to the hotel. Our bus arrived very early and we were able to check in early with no extra charge which was great. Huge rooms with Netflix and a good bathroom. Real family feel.

    was upgraded to a nice room with a good view towards river. Reception guy was pleasant but seemed to be the only one that could speak english a bit. think hotel only had a few guests . its a good 15 mins or so walk to main town and great restaurants.
