Nice location and really good value. It's got nice seating in the restaurant area. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and even gave us some bananas on checkout! Toilets cleaned every morning which was nice.

A very special place with great traditional wooden houses as rooms. Really loved the place. Something different and very well done. Tasteful, artful, very spacious and comfortable rooms. An atmosferic open restaurant with good food. Large pool. All in a beautiful setting on the quiet island in front of Kratie. A great place to stay!

Insight into real Cambodian life. The host was really up for taking us on rides around the village and even showed us to his mother’s mango farm! We were given free mangos for breakfast lunch and dinner.

The property is an old buiding from the 1950’s (I think) recently turned into a hotel. The owner / host made a point to keep everything as close to the original as possible, allowing you to travel back in time. The decor is really nice, showcasing local artists and artesans, the rooftop is great, everyone was super helpful when I wanted to book travel & tours, have laundry done etc.
There is a real attention to ecology, creating as little waste as possible. The location in the heart of the market and just 2 mins away from the riverside is also very convenient.
Thank you again Alex for making my stay in Kratié so memorable!

Room was very spacious and staff were so friendly and helpful. They booked the dolphin kayaking for us with them and helped us when we had a problem with the shower.

Yes, one does see the river dophins, either by kayak or by motorized boat, approx. 11 k. north of Kratie. If the wind is blowing kayakers might need a tow. Most of the motorized boats were very respectful of the dolphins and did not crowd these silvery creatures. To get there I shared a tuk-tuk operatd by Mr. Soda who speaks some English and French. Our return to Kratie included a stop at "Monkey Moiuntain" and a climb up more than 300 stairs. Take the walking stick offered as the monkeys can be aggressive!
Another activity: take the ferry across to the island. Old clunker bikes can be rented there, or you can rent & transport a better one. The circle route is a short, flat ride. Great beaches and some facilities.

Unless you want to see the dolphins I wouldn’t bother with Kratie. The town offers nothing but the dolphins for tourists. The markets are only really for locals and the eating options are very limited.

The town has a great market and walking along the riverside is fun. There is not much action on Grab/PassApp, but everything in town is walkable anyway.
The dolphin boat ride was beautiful and exciting! The locals seem to really care about the dolphins and the boat driver knew exactly where to find them.
I don't usually go on tours but I am glad I went on one in Kratie. There are some neat things around the area that we never have discovered by just looking at the map. I would recommend hiring a local guide to take you.

Lovely hotel with 2nd floor restaurant overlooking the Mekong. Greeted with lovely glass of lime juice, which was very welcome after traveling all day. Room and bed were comfortable. Food in restaurant was great. They offer kayaking trips on the river to see the dolphins. These are well worth the money and Ben, the guide, was very knowledgeable. A great stay.
Great staff.
Our room had a beautiful view of the river and we had access to a balcony to watch the beautiful sunsets.
Very close to everything especially the ferry to the island.
Sorya tours is right next door if you want a beverage with a view and want to go kayaking with the dolphins.
Great hotel. Lovely staff and appreciated the unexpected room upgrade. Awesome to watch the central market action from the terrace above. Great spot for a few sundowners. Crepes and coffee on point. Enjoyable tour to the dolphins too
