Nice well ventilated room with a pleasant breeze. Very nice lady takes care of the place. It’s not a fancy place and the price reflects that. I was very happy there and would go back.

The location is stunning. The island is beautiful and the grounds are stunning. The buildings are beautiful and spacious and it's lovely to have a tub! The people here are very nice and the food is delicious. it's super great to have breakfast included and to have a ride to and from the boat-- walking the stretch through the hot sand that everyone else has to looks miserable with bags. The pool is huge and it's amazing to have the pool!

Host spoke good English and was extremely helpful in tracking down a bag of laundry that was left behind on one of the rides he helped me book to my next location. He continued to assist even 2 days after I had left. Lots of hammocks to relax in and a fan in each room. The dormitory is partitioned between each bed with bamboo screens and curtains across the front. There is a locking drawer in the side table for valuables.Breakfast was delicious and very fresh. Toilet and shower areas were immaculate at all times. The Mekong River is across the road, so be sure to catch a sunset. Bicycles available to rent to get into town.

Absolutely loved this charming hotel. Amazing staff. Alex was exceptional with his attention to detail and advice about Kratie. Rooftop patio offered stunning view of sunset. Common areas were tastefully decorated with treasured pieces with stories to tell. The room itself was exceptionally spacious, modern and extremely comfortable. The shower was lovely. The hotel is located in a very central area. Easy to walk around the city and explore the market. Bikes were readily available and in very good shape.
All in all would highly recommend this hotel. Definitely planning to stay here again on my next trip to Kratie!

Yes, one does see the river dophins, either by kayak or by motorized boat, approx. 11 k. north of Kratie. If the wind is blowing kayakers might need a tow. Most of the motorized boats were very respectful of the dolphins and did not crowd these silvery creatures. To get there I shared a tuk-tuk operatd by Mr. Soda who speaks some English and French. Our return to Kratie included a stop at "Monkey Moiuntain" and a climb up more than 300 stairs. Take the walking stick offered as the monkeys can be aggressive!
Another activity: take the ferry across to the island. Old clunker bikes can be rented there, or you can rent & transport a better one. The circle route is a short, flat ride. Great beaches and some facilities.

Unless you want to see the dolphins I wouldn’t bother with Kratie. The town offers nothing but the dolphins for tourists. The markets are only really for locals and the eating options are very limited.

The town has a great market and walking along the riverside is fun. There is not much action on Grab/PassApp, but everything in town is walkable anyway.
The dolphin boat ride was beautiful and exciting! The locals seem to really care about the dolphins and the boat driver knew exactly where to find them.
I don't usually go on tours but I am glad I went on one in Kratie. There are some neat things around the area that we never have discovered by just looking at the map. I would recommend hiring a local guide to take you.

Great staff.
Our room had a beautiful view of the river and we had access to a balcony to watch the beautiful sunsets.
Very close to everything especially the ferry to the island.
Sorya tours is right next door if you want a beverage with a view and want to go kayaking with the dolphins.
We loved our stay at Sorya, the room was really comfortable and spotless. The people were very friendly and helpful, and all the food and drink was delicious. We did the kayaking with Ben and loved it. Ben is a fantastic guide and we saw lots of dolphins.
Brilliant guest house. Great location. Room clean and comfortable. On-site restaurant serves great food and coffee. Staff very helpful. The owner arranged my trip to see the river dolphins, and the bus for my onward travel.
Room was very spacious and staff were so friendly and helpful. They booked the dolphin kayaking for us with them and helped us when we had a problem with the shower.
