Location was awesome. We were able to walk everywhere. The small gym is actually on the top floor surrounded by glass walls so you can look out on the city (and bar and pool!) while you work out. Staff was very helpful when we needed assistance. Breakfast buffet opened at 7:00am -- it was excellent with Western and Asian options.

This fascinating city, on the banks of the Mekong River, features exotic markets, cultural jewels and is home to some of the friendliest people on earth.

The Prison and killing fields were very interesting places to visit . For good we enjoyed the waterfront and Bassac lane . One more day was needed to be able to see the palace as it closes quite early. The silk island also sounded like a fun day. May be 3 or 4 full days would be a good time to spend here.

Great Location for a Stag weekend , Casino , and Golf. Just ignore some local attitude.
My Entry to Country using App and Payment for Visa took 90minutes.
Then the Passport Control man was rude , I misheard him say something when I handed my Passport and I said pardon ,he then shouted at me that he was speaking to his colleague not me as I obviously cannot speak Cambodian. No need for this attitude but I found is typical of people in Authority throughout my trip.

We stayed a full day both before & after a few days in Anchor Wat. Felt we could have looked around a lot more but just ran out of time. We are market enthusiast's & enjoyed the much more relaxed atmosphere than in Vietnam where everyone is hassling you.
Cambodians appear a lot less forward & much more reserved than Vietnamese (I love them both)

Frankly, except for the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the Choeung Ek Genocidal Center, there is little else to see. The Royal Palace is good, if one is interested in architecture.
Scams abound! You have to watch every step. Starting with cheap ($5) Massage Parlours where, once you enter, your money is stolen, and no service is given, as I was told by another international tourist who had had a horrible personal experience.
Guides almost mount on you, asking you repeatedly to hire their services. Irritating.
And there are piles of garbage all around. People leave their house refuse in polythene bags outside their houses overnight for the collection vehicles to collect the next morning. Rats, well-fed rats, feed on them the whole night and rule the roads at night. Disgusting. There is no concept of cleanliness here in Phnom Penh. I can imagine other cities now.
Filling the stomach for a pure vegetarian is a nightmare. Forget it or compromise. Most of the street food is unhygienic.
Avoid, if you can, otherwise just plan two full days here. Not more unless you have loads of money and can afford expensive hotels and cafes for your stay and dining every day of your stay here.

Come and see and experience.
Come and see and experience. Put the horrors of western genocidal imperialism in the context of how it affects real people and societies. US/ Western bombing of Cambodia in the 60s; regime change activities by the CIA and Uk/ France before and after this. The Khmer Rouge genocide which resulted. Despite this, beautiful country and people. I hope they can recover.

Our room was big and clean, on the 10th floor, had a great-working air conditioning and a beautiful bathroom. We stayed in the HM Grand-suite due to a good off-season offer, but it would not be called a suite in a western hotel, more like a superior/deluxe room.
The rooftop bar had good cocktails and a great view over the city.
Nice with swimming pool (incl bar) and gym.
Good location in walking distance from most of the city centre.
Hotel staff Sophia & Bot were amazingly helpful & lovely to communicate with, the hotel is in the centre of many shops, restaurants, bars & right next to "The Royal Palace Of Cambodia" & "The Riverside/Sisowath Quay", it was adequate & I highly recommend other travellers to book this Hotel, the talking parrot is adorable/grumpy but cute, the 2 dogs are funny characters, overall the hotel meet all my needs.
From the outside you would never imagine how nice this hotel is! The hotel has several buildings which make it really cozy and you don't have the feeling of being in a big and anonymous hotel. The two pools are exactly what you need after a busy day exploring the city and the position, right behind the royal palace, is perfectly in the city centre. The restaurant is also recommended.
The hotel was central to the city centre and the room was spacious and clean.
We stayed only one night but everything was perfect, they even give you free toiletries.
