Beautiful balcony views of Adams Peak from our room and the dining room. Welcoming and kind staff ready to help with logistics if you plan to go up the peak. It is a short walk from the hotel to the beginning of the trail. Tasty food in the restaurant. Initially no electric kettle in the room but one as quickly brought when I asked.

Perfect location to start the hike. Clean and fresh linen, towels. Welcome tea to the terrace 👌 absolutely great and reach breakfast at the return from hiking. Lady manager has good English 🙏 water and small fridge in the room.
Very loud outside, be ready and take your earplugs to sleep a little before hiking.
There were too crowded and hotel manager recommended to start at 1:00 am. That was great advice. But I still have not reached the very top by the sunrise due to the traffic. People just did not move after 2220m (the top is at 2248).

Do not climb on Saturdays as you will most probably not be able to reach the top. It was over-crowded and the path is narrow the last 500 meters. Got stuck in one spot for 45 minutes and decided to turn around. Still got amazing views though and the experience of local pilgrimage which was a privilege!

At the top of Adam's Peak it is quite cold and windy, you will be walking up and sweating. In order not to freeze at the top while you wait for dawn, I advise you to take extra dry clothes to change at the top (there is a toilet there), a windbreaker and a thermos with hot water. And don't forget the sunscreen, as soon as the sun comes out it won't spare you. This is an amazing place call mountain Malaya, where Guru Rinpoche gave Tantric Teachings in the Tibetan tradition for the first time on earth. And also the place of Dakinis. Glad that you will be there. Make a wish for the benefit of all sentient beings(you are one of them ;)) ! :)

There is a lake and Tea Gardens nearby. However you cannot visit either of them. You can only drive around and take in the views.
What is quite nice is to climb up the Adams' Peak. The climb is good for those who like climbing and hiking.

We got to the top of Adam's peak to find a locked gate- very disappointing, as we couldn't get a view of the other side of the mountain! Apparently it is only open in season and I think this should be changed

The hosts were both very friendly and willing to help with any advice - we spent about 10 mins discussing the rest of my journey through Sri Lanka which was really useful. I ate dinner and lunch at the restaurant where I had my favourite dish since being here - aubergine sambal. The room was spacious, clean and had a really good shower. The mountain view from just outside the room was incredible - perfect for sitting outside to take it all in. Location is great as close to the small town and Adam’s Peak start point.
We are two girls from Slovenia. We were travelling around Sri Lanka for a little more than two weeks. We stayed at this hostel and really enjoyed our experience. We had breakfast included and it was really good. They gave us different types of food and it was enough for both of us. The room had its own bathroom and everything was really nice and clean. The homeowner was friendly and made us feel welcomed. We are very happy that we stayed here.🙌🏼🤗🇸🇮
Owner is super friendly and willing to help out! The food was amazing as well (dinner, breakfast bag for the Adams Peak hike and breakfast after the hike). Rooms were basic but clean (including warm water shower): everything you need! Wifi was also the best we experienced thus far in Sri Lanka.
The hotel is ideally located near Adam's Peak. You can easily take a bus from Hatton train station to the hotel for just 200 LKR. It's best to avoid tuk-tuks as they can be quite expensive. I recommend staying for one night if your goal is to hike."
Excellent location for climbing Adam's Peak. Clean and contemporary premises with very friendly staff. The freshly made tea / coffee and the Sri Lankan vegetarian meals were delicious!
