The location was perfect, right in the heart of Hiriketiya and a stones throw from Hiriketiya beach. Room was very clean and comfortable and we had a non-AC fan room, which was cool enough. Pool is relaxing

Had a fantastic stay at Casa Vana for 6 nights during my time in Sri Lanka. The staff including Chamee (Manager) were so friendly and helpful, and made my stay very comfortable. Chamee provided great recommendations too! The wildlife literally on your doorstep is nothing short of spectacular - I watched the (friendly, timid) monkeys from my room most mornings. It was so special. The location is perfect - you can walk to Hiri bay within a couple of minutes, and also Dickwella beach (which was more quiet) was only a 10/15 min walk away passing several stunning cafes, shops and restaurants. My room was lovely, very spacious and airy. Aircon was super effective. Perfect to come back to after day at the beach. I would love to return to Casa Vana in the near future!

Immaculately clean and comfortable large rooms with great bathroom facilities. Perfect location to walk straight out the door to many great food options and beautiful Hiriketiya beach. The outdoor shower was a great addition for a wash off when returning from an early morning surf. Having the two upstairs rooms was great for our family with two teenagers. We appreciated being able to leave our bags for a few hours before we departed for our next location after check out.

After staying in a few disappointing guesthouses, House on the Bend was a true breath of fresh air. From the moment I arrived, I finally felt I could relax and unwind. The bed was super comfortable, the shower had great water pressure and temperature, and everything was spotlessly clean

La Playa Beach Club offered the perfect blend of relaxation and beachside fun. Our room was stylish and comfortable, with stunning ocean views. The laid-back vibe and friendly staff made our stay enjoyable, and the proximity to the beach allowed us to soak up the sun and surf with ease.​ looks like they’ve opened a rooftop bar now too which would be perfect for sundowners

Excellent hostel! Lovely clean rooms, a quote and comfortable atmosphere with lots of places to chill and great complimentary coffees. An ideal location in Hirikitiya. The owner went above and beyond when we fell ill so that’s another plus.

Location - the property was situated a short walk from the hustle and bustle of Hiriketiya Road, being quite central to the town and restaurants between Hiriketiya/Dikwalla. Cleanliness - the villa presented in a very tidy manner and I didn’t have any issues with critters etc. Facilities - the host ensured there was always plenty of water at the villa, the bathroom and bedroom were both spacious and the kitchen was convenient. I had no issues with mosquitoes during my stay so the room was well sealed. Air conditioning and a fan were fantastic. Host - very polite, readily available and able to assist with any query. Fantastic trip.

    Amazing Beach town. So many beautiful beaches within close proximity. Loved the beach hopping. Great Bars. Smoke & Bitters & RAA have amazing drinks and food and a great vibe . lovely little cafes & restaurant and friendly locals

    Great to enjoy the sea and the beach which was nice and calm...

    Great to enjoy the sea and the beach which was nice and calm but also had waves further away for the surfers. The cocktail bars on the beach really add a lot to this location as opposed to many other beaches in Sri Lanka. Some of the restaurant's had some super dishes which were a real fusion of east and west. Also a few more places to explore and enjoy are Dickwella beach, Blue beach, Hummanaya blowhole and the dondra area.

    It’s emerging and as such choice is large and prices reasonable. There’s plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Bars are varied from top end cocktail bars to beach shacks. Standards are high. Beaches are perfect.

    Hiriketiya is a beautiful spot on the south coast of Sri Lanka. I would recommend checking out the beach in Dickwella if you're looking to escape the surf schools that dominate Hiri beach. Really enjoyed the different restaurants and bars in the area. Fantastic seafood and delicious breakfast options. Be sure to try the small local places as well as the more established places like Dots Bar etc

    Nice spot to visit , have a drink and switch off. Surfing looked good and the vibe is very relaxing. Some nice places to eat and drink and nice to walk around. Feels like a place that is becoming increasingly popular with surfers and remote workers.
