We stayed at Regal Reseau Hotel for the last night of our trip in Sri Lanka. The hotel is 30 minutes max away from the airport. The rooms with sea view were very clean and spacious. The rooftop pool and bar have a great view of the Negombo beach and sunset. The food at the restaurant and for breakfast were also fine. The staff is very kind.

Terrace Green Hotel & Spa 4-star boutique hotel is set in Negombo in the Gampaha District Region, 656 ft from Negombo Beach Park.

Staff were very helpful and cheerful, even though a late night check in was further delayed by the plane landing 1.5 hours later than schedled. Their patience and kindness was much appreciated

We stayed 2 nights at SH&S. Our experience was mixed. The room was spacious but very spartan. The AC unit located on the balcony was very close to the bed inside the room and produced an irritating hum inside the room. The fan was very noisy. it took an unreasonable amount of time for staff to fix the WI-FI access.

The hotel was beautiful. It has a private beach, spacious and modern rooms, even the theme of the lobby is super cute like a submarine or boat. The view was beautiful. The staff were informative and friendly and helpful. The beach is quite clean and swimmable (just as good as browns beach, you don't have to go over there). The pool makes you feel like your in a lake with the plants beside it.

    Above and beyond are the best words to describe the owners of the Rivinson hotel. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Comfortable beds and a hot shower. But what we loved the most was the effort that was put in to make our stay the best stay in Negombo. We highly recommend the Rivinson!

    Negombo was coming to the end of the tourist season (...

    Negombo was coming to the end of the tourist season (although one local told me it hadn't been busy this season and people only tended to stay a couple of days in Negombo). It's great for a chilled couple of days, there's not a whole lot close by but some great food options, both local and international cuisines. I borrowed a bicycle and did some of the sights (fish market, Dutch fort, temples and churches) but a day was more than enough unless you get a tuk tuk or taxi/tour bus to go further afield. The beach was nice, the ocean was pretty rough and I didn't swim out in the water, but if you book somewhere with a pool this is fine.

    We stayed at residences around Negombo Beach twice either end of a Safari around Sri Lanka. The beach was lovely, with some nice restaurants. I would recommend LORDS and JUDE's, both serve up spectacular food

    Browns beach is ok but needs to be cleaner. There is rubbish on the beach. You can walk on the beach for hours. We ate at Sea Look, tasty fresh tiger prawns, fantastic sunsets, good service at a reasonable price. We also ate at Jet wing - expensive, small portions We also ate at Ocean 14 restaurant next to Jet wing - tasty food at very reasonable prices We walked around Negombo but when the traffic was heavy we took a tuk tuk to the fish market, the Dutch fort -next to the fish market, Saturday market near the train station for bargains. There are many churches in Negombo, St Steven's is worth a visit, which has a well and the 12 stations of the cross inside and outside.

    All was fantastic. It was our second time there. Being close to the airport was important to us. Wonderful staff, fantastic food and a heavenly place to relax. Beautiful furnishings and art work. Our room was super clean, large and comfy complete with a sofa to lounge. . The common areas were surrounded by a serene lotus pond. The outdoor pool and bar area was a perfect place to have drinks and dinner. Best fish and curry ever, Knowledgable, professional and friendly staff.

    The colourful early morning market and the fishermen drying...

    The colourful early morning market and the fishermen drying out their catch — both experiences within a few paces of the Mira Dutch Edge Hotel — provided a boots-and-all introduction to a new culture in the space of an hour. We didn’t have much other interaction with the people or places in the town, as we were mainly interested in the bus station and the destinations available.

    I really enjoyed my stay in Star White. Staff was so genuinely kind and nice to me. A got a welcome drink and they provided free water/tea/coffee/milk for me. I had amazing Sri Lankan breakfast every day with lots of fruit, curry and hoppers. Swimming pool area was cosy and clean. It’s in a nice area of town with many restaurants and shops around, and very close to the beach. Would definitely stay there again if I come back to Negombo.

    This hotel is situated in a perfect picturesque paradise! As you walk into the hotel you are greeted by such friendly staff which go out their way to help you and welcome you. You see the beach views ahead of you through the open plan doors and you are in awe! Amazing hotel, great room and location, highly recommend! The staff were fantastic and super friendly, the best start to our amazing trip to Sri Lanka!

    Fantastic hotel overlooking the beach and amazing views out to sea. Rooms are huge and very lovely. The pool is nice and the sea is right there so two swimming options. Rooftop gym looked good with running machines looking out to sea (didn't have time to use it). Sri Lankan curry was good. Mostly very peaceful. Bed was 7 feet wide and very comfortable.

    We stayed here for the last two nights for our holiday in SriLanka. Room was a spacious and clean! The staff was very nice and willing to help us. Negombo location is not special place, if you are looking for a nice beaches, but it is a great for the first and the last day in Sri Lanka. I recommend this place due to its short distance to the airport.
