It was the whole villa with beautiful garden. As I had to work for couple of days there were no issues with WiFi. The family was really nice and friendly. Maybe a little too far from main street but the quiet place and friendliness of local people makes up for it. Also breakfast was delicious.

The staff here were excellent. They were very helpful, friendly, and attentive. We stayed in a Villa which was cleaned every day. The breakfasts were good. We only ate in the Restaurant twice in the evening but it was very good. We loved the wildlife, the Kingfishers, Peacocks, Lapwings, Cows and the dogs. The gardens were very well tended and the pool provided welcome relief from the heat. I had a lovely massage.

Roman Beach is a small hotel but with a high staff ratio so the service is exceptional and is clearly a focus of the staff. Breakfast is feast and is individually prepared - not a buffet. The menu for lunch and dinner provides a wide selection of Sri Lanka and western food. The chef will quite often come out and talk to you about special dishes he can prepare.
We stayed in a large room which was very comfortable. The bathroom was also large with a good array of toiletries. The AC worked well and there is also a ceiling fan.
The property has a great pool and also has direct access to the beach. It has all the ingredients for a very relaxing holiday.

We were at the Avon villa after we arrived after a long trip and we rested there to recover from the journey. The place was very well located and well run. Nearly like Western standards. We noticed Hadjid and his wife really do appreciate their activity and are very helpful and efficient. Wifi was perfect. the room was perfect.
