Nestled next to a picturesque village with bungalows encircled by lush tropical trees, this hotel feels like a dream brought to life. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, its vibrant botanical garden caught our attention. It boasts an impressive array of tropical plants and trees. The pool is a true oasis, perfect for resting and cooling off on hot days. The staff deserves a special mention for their warmth and kindness. Our only regret is staying for just one night in relation to our safari in Udawalawe National Park. We feel we missed the opportunity to truly enjoy the delights of this magical place. Staying at least two nights would have been ideal—not only for exploring the safari but also for cherishing the beauty of the resort, its garden, the pool, and the charming forest village surroundings.

quiet location with a good quality room: tile floors, soft mattresses and pillows, AC, towel rack, hot water, clean sheets and towels family is extremely friendly and welcoming. they organized some coconuts for us because we like them so much and stood up early to provide us with a packed lunch for the safari. Ganga cooks delicious meals and Niroshin is a safe driver whose taxi services we enjoyed. cassia Udawalawe is a perfect place for a safari in the NP, approximately 10 minutes from the park entrance

A quiet rustic nature chalet with the most comfortable bed and pillows of our trip so far. Our host was exceptional, great English spoken and was able to provide lots of information about the animals and the area. An amazing cook! Greeted us with cake and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Monkeys were all around and hanging out which added to the experience. If you want cheap but excellent, this is it!

    Our stay was completely authentic.

    Our stay was completely authentic. Unlike the usual tourist guesthouses, we lived here with locals. Chinta and Suranga introduced us to their world and culture, and did everything they could to make our stay special. I would recommend this place and this wonderful family to anyone who wants to experience Sri Lanka in all its authenticity.

    Super friendly host, delicious breakfast, room and bathroom very clean! The host arranged a driver for us at a very good price and also arranged a safari tour including entrance and breakfast at Uduwalawa National Park. The safari was amazing our guide saw many animals and explained everything we needed to know.

    There are plenty of comfortable places on the hotel grounds where you can sit on a bench with your laptop or enjoy the views. Our room was spacious, with high ceilings and a private terrace. Everything was clean, and the hot water in the shower was good. The breakfast was varied and tasty, and the dinner was simply huge. The owner of the hotel treated us to traditional Sri Lankan dishes, as well as incredibly tasty fish caught in the lake. But the biggest impression was made by the owner Nimal. He was an unusually kind, responsive and caring person. During our stay, he helped me buy medicine, and provided moral support. I am infinitely grateful to him for his kindness and support. The safari was also very good/started at 5.30. So we saw the sunrise. Saw about 25 elephants..an unforgettable experience.

    We stayed here for one night. It was a beautiful hotel. The staff at the reception and the maintenance team were very friendly. Nice comfortable beds (I would rate the firmness of the bed as 10 out of 10). The food selection is limited if you are looking for Asian/Sri Lankan food. Otherwise, there are many items to choose from on the menu. The safari is 10/10. The driver is very good. Good experience on the safari. Thanks....

    Beautiful en-suite bedroom with a bathroom, two double beds, dressing table. Drinking water is readily available and the owner will make you freshly brewed (proper) coffee or tea whenever you want. Wonderful breakfast with freshly cut local fruit, yogurt, perfect omelette, pancakes if desired. I had dinner both nights and didn't even think of going anywhere else. The owner is a super host, I booked my safari with him. He allowed me to arrive at the elephant migration house 10 minutes away and he arranged my onward taxi to the falls.

    Wow we really loved this resort. From being greated in reception with cool flannels, and a super tasty drink to the gorgeous pool, stunning outside shower, and really attentive staff - we couldn’t have asked for better while we explored the national park of udawalawe. The food we had was delicious, and the safari organised by the hotel was fantastic with a really great driver with lots of knowledge. I would also recommend the elephant transit home visit.

    Perfect location, only 2 minutes drive from the national park entrance. Modern and clean rooms and relaxed patio with nice swimming pool. Superb stuff always ready to help you with a smile on their face. You get the feeling that nothing is a problem here. Safari tours and other transportation offers for reasonable prices. Highly recommended. Generally speaking, this resort is way beyond usual Sri Lanka standard. Looks like a 4* european hotel.

    Nice clean hotel and rooms. Location near the Udawalawe National park, but not much else nearby. Big plus for bikes you can use for free! All in all a good place to stay for a night or two to see elephants and go for a safari. We had a half board with safari. Friendly staff!
