Our stay was completely authentic. Unlike the usual tourist guesthouses, we lived here with locals. Chinta and Suranga introduced us to their world and culture, and did everything they could to make our stay special. Super friendly host, delicious breakfast, room and bathroom very clean! The host arranged a driver for us at a very good price and also arranged a safari tour including entrance and breakfast at Uduwalawa National Park. There are plenty of comfortable places on the hotel grounds where you can sit on a bench with your laptop or enjoy the views. Our room was spacious, with high ceilings and a private terrace. Everything was clean, and the hot water in the shower was good. The breakfast was varied and tasty, and the dinner was simply huge. The owner of the hotel treated us to traditional Sri Lankan dishes, as well as incredibly tasty fish caught in the lake. But the biggest impression was made by the owner Nimal. He was an unusually kind, responsive and caring person. During our stay, he helped me buy medicine, and provided moral support. I am infinitely grateful to him for his kindness and support. The safari was also very good/started at 5.30. So we saw the sunrise. Saw about 25 elephants..an unforgettable experience.Guest review byRavindra - Review score10.0

We stayed here for one night. It was a beautiful hotel. The staff at the reception and the maintenance team were very friendly. Nice comfortable beds (I would rate the firmness of the bed as 10 out of 10). The food selection is limited if you are looking for Asian/Sri Lankan food. Beautiful en-suite bedroom with a bathroom, two double beds, dressing table. Drinking water is readily available and the owner will make you freshly brewed (proper) coffee or tea whenever you want. Wonderful breakfast with freshly cut local fruit, yogurt, perfect omelette, pancakes if desired. I had dinner both nights and didn't even think of going anywhere else. The owner is a super host, I booked my safari with him. He allowed me to arrive at the elephant migration house 10 minutes away and he arranged my onward taxi to the falls.Guest review byGanesha
