Fantastic little campsite in the middle of the Sri Lankan bush, only accessible by 4WD. Head in here and feel the serenity. With just the two tents it's a small, perfectly-formed operation run by the wonderful host Nero, who not only looks after your every need but whips up amazing meals in his little camp kitchen, served on a table under the stars, with a bonfire to complete the magic. In the morning Nero took us on a safari in the nearby Yala National Park, which was magical at sunrise. Highly recommended.

Beautiful resort with a serene environment. The location feels like a private paradise, and the rooms were well-designed for comfort. The only downside was the slightly slow service at the restaurant, but overall, a wonderful stay!

The location near Yala National Park was very convenient; the pool area was nice, and the view over the fields was lovely. The staff was also nice.
Spread across 38 acres of land, Jetwing Yala features an outdoor pool, a business center and luxurious rooms located on the borders of Yala National Park.

Staff was phenomenal throughout our entire stay. From the time we entered the property until the time we left everyone that engaged us went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and assist with any and all of our needs.
Property was well kept up, the shower space was incredible, swimming pool had a group of monkeys in the trees that afternoon while we were swimming, which enhanced the entire surroundings.
Can't miss the warm cashews with the chili and garlic served by the pool, drinks were all well prepared!
Was just an overall 10/10 experience.

Very disappointing experience at this hotel:
1. The hotel was completely empty — we were the only guests, which made the atmosphere feel unsettling and uncomfortable.
2. The management was unprofessional and unfriendly. Communication was extremely difficult, as no one from the staff spoke English.
3. We had agreed in advance that the hotel would arrange a safari for us, but the safari experience was extremely poor compared to the price they charged. We waited over an hour at Yala, with confusing calls between the manager and the driver. No one told us to bring cash, which caused further delays. Eventually, we had to cancel the safari they arranged and book another one ourselves on the spot.
• We had woken up at 4:00 AM, but due to all the issues, the safari only started at 7:40 AM — turning what should have been an exciting morning into a frustrating and exhausting experience.
4. On top of that, there was no running water in the bathroom when we woke up — we couldn’t even brush our teeth or wash our faces. The water had a foul smell from the beginning, and at one point it turned black. Even the staff who came to check acknowledged how bad it was.
5. I asked for a partial refund given how poor the service was, and the manager responded rudely saying, “I don’t care, go to the police or leave a bad review. I won’t refund you.”
6. I couldn’t even eat breakfast — if there’s no clean water, how can anyone trust the hygiene of the food?
This place is unclean, unhelpful, and very poorly managed. I strongly advise others to avoid this hotel.

Everything! Wild Coast Tented Lodge is truly magnificent!!! We were happy that the architecture was specifically designed to have minimal impact on the environment, whilst still offering ultimate luxury and comfort. Our accommodation was outstanding, every aspect and requirement has been considered and the interior design was so impressive! Every single staff member is beyond courteous and helpful!! Our safari was unforgettable! A special thank you to our driver, Suranga and ranger, Kasun who provided 40 minutes of exclusive viewing of a gorgeous female leopard!!! The restaurant experience is superb, the local chef has the most amazing skills! Every meal was delicious and beautifully presented! Our waitress, Viraji was delightful and our spa treatments were fabulous!! Our host, Sashika was so helpful and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed to maximise our experience! Our expectations have been well exceeded and we cannot wait to return to this magical place! Thank you ❤️

too many jeeps roaming around. 50% of the time we were searching for animals. at some occasions long long jams of jeeps trying to observe leopards and bears
the park is beutiful but
* jeeps number should be limited
* we didnt see a leopard, saw elephants only once, saw a bear briefly only once - for 6 hours in the park we were disappointed

We visited Yala for two days (with two separate game drives - one evening and one morning one) and although we enjoyed the animals we observed, we did not have any sightings of leopards despite being the national park with the highest concentration in the world. But that is nature so we were just unlucky on those days. However, the most disappointing aspect of Yala was the sheer number of vehicles allowed into the park at one time. As soon as elephants or leopards are sighted, drivers communicate among themselves and vehicles all rush to the scene creating a massive traffic jams. This makes it feel very mass market and doesn’t seem very respectful of the wildlife

Terrible time. No wild animals as expected.
Terrible time. No wild animals as expected. Roads are all around the jungle which is pretty disturbing to the wild life. After all it is supposed to be a protected zone for wild life. Jeeps are crawling every corner of the territory. Amused to see all of that disturbing scenes in a wild life protected zone. It's like business zone. Poor animals.

I loved Yala.
I loved Yala. The number of different animals seen was slightly disappointing but apparently wash outs due to rain prevented us from accessing some internal roads. The sunrise and scenery were stunning. I would rate it as good value despite the lack of animals. The whole experience was wonderful.

The national park in Yala is beautiful however it is hard to drive around as the roads are poorly maintained. There is a large populatin of birds and i think this safari would suit bird watchers more than those who want to see the elephants. The 6am -6pm safari is too long.
Sigiriya is far superior when it comes to large herds of elephants.

The hike in the nature reserve was amazing, we saw lots of amazing animals and landscapes.
Were lucky and we were able to meet the tiger as well.
It is important to note that the trip should take drinks and food, the hotel staff where we were did not tell us the length of the trip and did not make sure to let us know that we should take care of ourselves.
Of course we were smarter and brought with us the necessary equipment ..
But there were those next to us who did not and that was unfortunate

We spent one night in Yala Jungle Haven, and did half day safari with the owner.
The localisation of the hotel is absolutly amazing, very close to the entrance of the national parc, immersion into the nature 100% guaranteed !
Thusara and his nephew are really kind, and they did everything to organize for us a wonderful safari. We get lucky enough to see 2 leopards!! And they did everything to manage to be the really first one to come inside the park.
Thank you very much for this wonderful experience!!
We were really excited about our stay in Wild Culture Yala. The reviews were already fantastic but reality was even better. From the moment we arrived until we left, we had an exceptional stay. The rooms are very nicely furnished, the whole hotel site is equipped with amazing spots to relax and eat. And special thanks goes to Opul who took amazing care of us, from early morning until late night, spoiling us during the whole stay.
A very well built property but although the staff consists of very nice people, the service efficiency was very low. One would expect much better service at a hotel of such a high quality. The staff seemed eager to deliver but unable to do so in term of understanding, punctuality, and internal communication.
We were particularly impressed with the food at Jetwing Yala . The dinner was the best we have had out of any hotel we have stayed at. Chef Indunil went above and beyond for our sick daughter and also made our son a fabulous curry . He was friendly and his service and friendly nature was next level .
The hotel has a very nice location close to Yala Natural Park. The rooms are very clean and the bed is very confy. The whole hotel has a very nice decoration and they also arrange safari tours to the yala. Overall we are very pleased with our stay in the hotel.
