Located in Fes, the Palais is beside the Fez Borj shopping centre and it has an outdoor pool with a snack bar and panoramic views of the Jbel Zallagh Hill and the Old Medina.

Big rooms. Comfy beds.Good view from my windows to city. Hot shower and warm room in very cold rainy spell . Lovely sweets cake in room and two bottles of water as a welcome and slippers and bathrobes. Location quite good. ( Though hard to cross road to walk into town. In fact I fell in a hole so dangerous due to road works. They offered us use or indoor pool for free because of the pool works outside.

The ten-floor Hotel Wassim is located in the heart of the new town of Fez and is close to Fez Saiss Airport and the Royal Golf. The 104 rooms are comfortable and well equipped.

I liked its simplicity. Like something from a 1970s film about the USSR. It was very basic. But at the same time, surprisingly comfortable. So, the good parts. The bed was very comfortable and so were the sheets and bedding. And I’m very particular about that. So my sleeping was good. The room was spacious. It had a working fridge which I used. The carpets and room were clean. The breakfast was excellent. They had traditional Moroccan mlaoui which is like a pancake that you could drizzle with honey. So good. And they also had harsha which is made from cous cous and is also very tasty. They had a range of pastries, danishes, pain au chocolat and just normal croissants. They had cereals. They had fresh, real coffee and fresh orange juice. The breakfast really was great. The gentleman who oversees the breakfast was also very lovely and chatty. He also added to the breakfast experience by chatting about Morocco and Ramadan which was coming up and he also helped me to take apart a bronze ornament I had bought. He really was super helpful.

Riad bab merzouga features a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Fès. This 5-star hotel offers room service and a concierge service.

I booked 3 rooms for me and two colleagues for one night in this Riad. Late morning of the day of our arrival, they contacted me through whatsapp to inform me that there is a problem with the rooms and that we will be splitted in 2 different places. At the arrival and since we refused to be separated as we had the flight at 05.00AM we have been proposed to share rooms to arrange and stay in one riad. Since that was not an option for us they proposed an apartment with 3 rooms. The conditions of the proposed place were undescent, several families lived in the same building with the stairswell open. We actually heard every murmur they made. Water shower pressure was very low making unpleasant having a shower. We had to cancel the booking from BOOKING.COM in order not to have our stay billed twice. They charged us the same amount forseen for the three standard and deluxe rooms we initially booked. Of course, no bill and no breakfast, and payment in cash which was not mentioned on the structure announcement nor directly communicated (as other riad) after the booking was made. One positive note, the check in people were very nice and tried their best to support us.
