I have stayed in many Ibis hotels around the world. I am always impressed by availability of services for the price.
This Ibis was no different. Rooms were small but comfortable. It was pretty quiet at night. Swimming pool was very clean and a lovely temperature for March.
The only negative was service in the bar was very slow in the evening but it didn’t affect us negatively as we were happy to chat and wait.

A good place for a short stay before going on to the coast, Atlas Mts or desert, driving tour etc. There's enough to see and do for a few days. The Taourirt Kasbah was partially closed at time of visit for repairs and there's a lot of construction work going around around there and the museum of cinema. A trip to the Atlas Film Studio (15 min taxi ride our of town) was worth it. If interested visit the Jewish Museum (old synagogue) in the old kasbah and get shown around a crazy house stuffed full of artefacts - mindblowing!

This is the authentic Morocco. There is so much to do and see in Ouarzazate, horse riding, camel riding, visiting ancient sites, visiting film studios, desert, visiting the old town, sunbathing, swimming in lakes, visiting gorges. The list goes on, It is safe and all the people are lovely and welcoming. Highly recommend.

Great place to fly into if you are exploring this part of Morocco. No crowds or ques at security/immigration.
It is a busy town with lots of facilities. One of the main attractions in Ouarzazate is the Atlas Film Studios and the CLS studios. Well worth a visit to view the film sets used in Prison Break, The Mummy, Gladiator and Game of Thrones. The spectacular mud city of Ben Haddou also used in numerous films is a 30 min drive away.

Well worth a trip to Atlas Film Studios .
Well worth a trip to Atlas Film Studios . Just 1km from the Riad. Can be walked in 20 mins. Only 80 Moroccan dirhams entrance fee ( about £6.30 ) with a guide.
The Riad is tricky to find if driving .

Ouarzazate is a much quieter place than Marrakech which was just what we wanted this time around. It still has a great feeling and we felt safe walking around. We spent a week here and mixed a few days by the pool with various tour days to Ait Benhaddou, Atlas Studios, and a touring day to Zagora. You can usually negotiate prices with the same taxi driver (usually from the airport) and they’ll take you to all of these places. Make sure you confirm a price first! We ate at Les Jardin d’arome which was lovely, also Dimitri which is fair. If you want a gentle intro to Morocco, this is a great starter. We hope to return soon.

Ouarzazate is a beautiful city.
Ouarzazate is a beautiful city. The complete opposite of bustling marrakech, it's a quiet easy going city. The people were so friendly. Food and shops were easy to find. Prices were fair and not hiked up for tourists like marrakech.
My favourite place to eat was Sky Habous, great food, great staff and if you go after 6pm you see the main square start to come alive at night with music etc.
Taxis were easy to find and very cheap.
I visited Horses_riding_ouarzazate and had an amazing time discovering outside the main area on horseback. Definitely the highlight of my holiday. The guys spoke French and English.

Aziz is a very kind, helpful and friendly person. We came on the last day of Ramadan and Eid. He shared his food with us, helped us get around.
- clean room (double) and toilet and very quiet, so you will have good sleep at night.
- AMAZING breakfast made by Aziz! King of Morocco! Coffee - good. Bread - good. Tea - good. Breakfast on the roof... Just perfect! Thank you Aziz!
- good internet.
- great people stopping by so, you are enjoying the stay.
What more to say?
Worth staying and enjoying the surroundings.
Once again, thank you Aziz!!
One of the cutest boutique accommodation in Morocco.Traditional architecture with a modern twist, elegant artistic interior design, best linens, amazing breakfast and dinner by the chef of the Kasbah, nice Olive grove, long pool. We choose it mainly as a one night stop to our road trip from Marrakesh to Sahara but I wish i had booked it for more nights. Nice stuff.
The location is wrong. The right location is: 30,9181472, -6,9036976. Very close to the famous kasbah in Ouarzazate. The sign on the main entrance says "Hotel Riad Salam" instead of "Le Tichka". I went in June and the swimming pool was the BEST part of our stay there. The breakfast was fine and the staff was nice. Our room was very spacious and had AC.
When I go to Ouarzazate I always stay at Riad Amlal, the staff is amazing, the location is perfect as it's close to the main square and to the bus station. The hotel is beautiful, new and you can see that they take good care of it as it's super clean too. Breakfast delicious
Fantastic Riad, one of the best we visited during our stay in Morocco. The host is so welcoming and every small detail has been thought of - from hairdryers and towels for taking off make up to advising about local attractions and eateries during Ramadan and parking.
