Lovely place to stay, big spacious well lit rooms. Super comfortable beds. Breakfast was so good. Coffee tea, freshest orange juice ever, bread, jam, butter, eggs and Moroccan pancakes. Got to eat out on the rooftop overlooking the ocean. So close to shops and the beach. Convenient store next door, ATM and currency exchange as well as surf shop in the building. Staff was helpful with taxis and printing boarding passes.
The sink did leak water onto the floor and one shower head was broken causing water to spray everywhere. The towels are stained and have holes but it was clear they were washed. The door was janky and it and the key often got stuck. Sand was found on the beds upon arrival.
Overall very minute details and the pros heavily outweighed the small details.

Our experience at this hotel was deeply disappointing. The rooms were advertised as having sea, pool, or garden views, but upon check-in, we were taken to rooms with absolutely no view. When we requested a change, the front desk told us they were fully booked and asked us to return the next day. This was just the beginning of a frustrating three-day ordeal filled with pushback and misinformation.
Each time we inquired about the room change, we were given a different excuse—first, the manager was in a meeting, then they had an emergency, and ultimately, they were just never available. Despite paying extra for a sea-view room, we were never compensated or given any resolution. Instead, we were stuck in noisy rooms with no views, leaving a bad taste in our mouths.
The property itself is decent, but the service and customer care were among the worst we’ve ever experienced. We dined at one of the on-site restaurants one evening, and it was painful to watch the staff—completely disorganized and poorly managed—make mistake after mistake.
This hotel has potential, but the lack of management and proper staff training drags it down significantly. There are several boutique hotels in the area that may not have the same name recognition or flashy advertisements, but they offer a far better experience—at a better price. Sadly, this place was a major letdown.

Taghazout is a really interesting town, no bars so nobody falling out of them, instead lots of interesting people who have come for the surf and yoga. The beach is beautiful. it is quite an eccentric place but full of color and charm and if you like horses, dogs, camels, beautiful beaches and the color, culture and history brought by the berbers you will love this place.

A small Moroccan seaside village getaway, with a super long beach that caters to sun-worshippers, surfers, yoga devotees, families and travellers of all ages. Guest houses, studios, boutique hotels, cafés (Red Clay’s super staff, coffee and vegetarian menu), restaurants (Dar Josephine’s French dining experience). Everyone tries their best to make this the holiday of a lifetime - and they succeed!

It's a fantastic place to enjoy both the beach and the local culture. At the end of January we had a pleasant 22°C. But it's worrying how multinationals are spoiling the land, using its water resources to build swimming pools and golf clubs in what is actually a dessert. It's very sad how people can build on a massive scale, regardless of the cultural or environmental impact, simply because they have money and connections.
If you are planning to visit, I recommend avoiding the resorts and instead supporting small, local businesses. Much better in the long run.

I loved the food options, both local moroccan food as well as spots that offered international foods. You could choose from very cheap and quick options to more of a sit down meal too. There are two locations that serve alcohol. The skate park is a must see when the sun is setting although mind the steep walk up and down. I loved walked to anchor point in the morning (around 25mins from my hostel) to see the first surfers getting in the water. There is also a gorgeous beach track (very flat) that takes you along from Taghazout all the way to Tamraught, about 5km long.

If you’ve experienced the hustle and bustle of Marrakech,...
If you’ve experienced the hustle and bustle of Marrakech, Taghazout is the polar opposite . A hippy vibe and a big hit with surfers and backpackers. Lots of local restaurants providing typical Moroccon fare as well as international dishes ( burgers / pizzas 🤣). Fantastic fresh sea food.
Very laid back. No hassle from street vendors. The locals genuinely just want to please.
English widely spoken and even convenience stores display prices on foods / drinks so you know you’re not being ripped off ( unlike Marrakech )

Everything was perfect from the check in till the check out.
The Location is great, beachfront, access to a walk for morning footing or night walk.
The staff are very welcoming, always smiling.
Facilities are very good, rooms are clean, even the daily housekeeping was great.
Breakfast was amazing, even the snack bar food was delicious.
Pool was heated so we enjoyed it all day.
Keep up the great work! We really loved our stay at the Hyatt regency taghazout!
Loved this hidden gem in the hills 4 km above Taghazout, it was welcoming and felt like home for our 9 days here.
Abdullah and Yazid did everything to make our stay incredibly special, breakfast of our choice every morning regardless of time .We had fabulous home cooked dinner, including lamb tagine and special grilled chicken which were our favourite meals in Morocco. We will 💯 be back. Also the place was spotless.
The privacy and the quiet, the pool area isn't overlooked and the villa is in a nice quiet area, the bedrooms are a good size as are bathrooms, the kitchen has everything you need. Taghazout is around a 25 minute walk down the hill or you can get a cheap taxi both ways if you haven't hired a car, the view from the balcony over the bay is amazing, if you want to relax I'd recommend this place
The Staff, best hotel staff I’ve come across.
Nice big rooms, pool area where I could get my swimming lengths done.
Lovely views as it’s up on the hill overlooking Taghazout bay. Courtesy bus to the beach and back. Still only 15 min walk as we did each day for the exercise to the beach.
clea clean clean and clean the hostel is super clean and comfortable, Karim gives you all the best advice for Taghazout and make you feel like home! Bed are comfortable and the spaces are large. I’ll definitely come back when I’m done tripping around Morocco
