AustraliaIt is a good budget hotel. The receptionist was friendly, & helpful when we asked for restaurant suggestions for dinner. The location was quite central, so we could walk to the nearby square for dinner. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, & the bedlinen was fresh. Breakfast was good. Check-out process was smooth.

MontenegroEverything is great. I would come again for work and for vacation. Beautifull place, clean, tidy well organized. Host was there for a warm welcome and for some additional requests I had. Great bar to grab a coffe or drinks nearby owned by the host. Big portion and lovley food for breakfast. Perfect stay in Niksic!

Not much to see in the city itself.
Not much to see in the city itself. I enjoyed a train trip followed by a long walk to the Ostrog monastery, plus a short walk around the local monuments in Niksic. Staying here is more comfortable and cheaper than e.g. in Podgorica. If you do not have a car, then it may be more practical for you to stay in Podgorica, because most other places of interest in Montenegro (such as Budva or Kotor) are better accessible from there.Guest review byJanGermany - Review score6.0
It can be hard to find a lot of things to do here once you...
It can be hard to find a lot of things to do here once you spend a day walking around the town and visit the lake for a few swimming sessions, but if you enroll in the language school then it becomes much more enjoyable. The air quality is a little bit poor, as there are a lot of smokey cars, although it's very beautiful if you take a trip out into the mountains and well located for travel to other parts of Montenegro. Public transport is inexpensive, so staying in Niksic can work well if you're on a budget and want to take day trips to see the whole of the country. Everyone was very pleasant to me here, and you can make friends - especially if you make an effort to speak the language.Guest review byAnonymous - Review score8.0

No nonsense town with attractive square a lots of cafes and bars. Lively night life. Drink easier to find than food and quite a lot of fast foos/pizza options. Has some medeival fortifications which are rather untended. Close enough to the famous Ostrog Monastery (1/2 an hour) for a day trip if you have a car. Unfortunately we stayed only one night on our long way home.

An undiscovered gem in the heart of Montenegro. You should definitely come and discover all the charms that this wonderful city has to offer. The food is fantastic with affordable prices, the service is phenomenal and the people are very nice and accommodating. It is very easy to get to Piva lake, Durmitor, Lukavica, Krnovo, Nevidio canyon... As well as the town of Nikšic, which is 10 minutes away by car.
