There are only a couple of restaurants in Schoelcher and we...
There are only a couple of restaurants in Schoelcher and we had to drive to both so could not enjoy a drink. We did not feel that we could walk along a main road to the centre of town. There are no beach bars on the beach we stayed at and only 2 options on the beach in town. We had meals at both and they were "OK" at best. There is not much in the town centre and you find yourself driving elsewhere each day to find stuff to do. I'd recommend staying at Point du Bont or Diamond Beach which seemed to have more life and restaurants for the evening. We loved the big terace and the ability to prepare food as my husband is vegie and there was not much choice in the restaurant. The pool was great and we enjoyed chilling out there and popping over to have a swim in the sea. There are few bars and restaurants on the beach and we loved having a drink and watch the sunset.
