It was not my first time at this hotel and i love its location by the sea, but things have changed since i was here especially the way patrons behave in this hotel. The breakfast was nice. Also, the staff take care of stray cats and let them in the reception area to rest and feed them, i think this is just amazing and being a cat lover myself i thank you for doing this!

We were put into a room that had no telephone working and some distance from reception. When we asked to change rooms it wasn't a problem other than we were put into a smaller room, the toilet flush came away from the wall.
The Sauna which was important to us was in the spa which closed at 6pm. So even at 5pm it would not be practical to use it if the sauna is not already on as you would have to wait for it to get to a high temperature. All my previous 4 star hotels have evening saunas available.

A quiet village to walk around - head for the traditional back streets with their pretty frontages. The village was well served by several bus routes linking to all parts of the island. We ate at two restaurants near the main church, both of which had an extensive menu at reasonable prices. It was also very easy to cut down to the port area where there were a number of other eateries.

lovely church close by and celebrations of fireworks, cannons, music, performers over a few nights (Late August), not many places to eat, but more places near the ferry, which were really nice and some cheaper places if with family. Local supermarket and collect your plastic and you can recycle and get 10c per items, so adds up over the course of stay. Rexy's was very nice and great price, as was Bull, had another part to name, can't remember it now and the trailer on the harbour front has seating by the sea and great menu and prices.

The Grand Hotel at Mgarr is a short walk up from the ferry terminal. Very easy to find as you can see it from the harbour.
If you don’t want to eat at the hotel there are several little bistros going down to the harbour.
I would particularly recommend Sammy’s for quality and value.

A shuttle bus to the ferry from the hotel would be good and more info on Resterant , they have some of the best Restaurants in the harbour and only found out about them from our friends who used to live there.. it’s a very lively place with lots of traffic due to the ferry service .. you need to be very careful when walking anywhere , then pavement are very narrow. It’s has a very regular bus service but they have no air-conditioning , so they are pretty hot, we used bolt & Uber to get around mainly

Sleepy town with a lot of activity in the harbour area.
Some great little eatery finds and bus links to Victoria and the rest of Gozo perfect.
Make sure you get a Tallinja bus card (12 rides will do) as a deal and the bus network is amazing and takes away some of the stress of parking if only going across the island.
Don’t forget to say Bonjo to everyone
Very quiet in comparison to other parts of Malta but nice to kick back and relax and enjoy the views, boat trips and feel more immersed in Gozo life.
Victoria is bustling but still relaxed in comparison to Valleta and check out all the local festivals as so many amazing ones from wine, cheese, fireworks to Pride.
Make sure you get over to Ramla bay and hike the bay along with a dip in the water but don’t forget wet shoes as will be needed across entire cost even the sandy ones (trust me).
You have to try the local pastizzi (cheese pasty) as super tasty.
Highly recommend Country Terrace for the service and food was lovely and great wine list.
For me only thing that was missing was a great little bar
