At the moment it's being refurbished. If you've seen the film Carry on Abroad, that will give you an idea of what it's like. Having said that it didn't spoil my stay. The staff were helpful and friendly and the restaurant was good. It will be a lovely place when it's finished.

Excellent basic hotel for a one night transit stay. If you are looking for a cheap hotel but with quality rooms in terms of quietness, space, good beds and good bathroom, you have it all here. We were on a first floor with a room that had view on a wall but with some kind of sundeck below the balconies of the floors above. Breakfast was also OK, basic like the rooms but would do the job. Service was nice. I would not stay there if I wanted a long stay because the rooms are basic but the price was really good against what was available for the same night in Valletta in my way to Gozo.

The hotel is located in a historical palace within the walls of Mdina. It’s an amazing place where you can feel the spirit of the past. The comfort of the rooms and the highest level of service made us feel special. Thank you!

Very pleasant lady that worked on reception. The noise insulation is maybe a bit weaker. The location is great for family vacations, but it can also be good for other tourists, because the public transport is very frequent in that part of the city. Breakfast was excellent and staff in the kitchen is very professional. Special attraction is the recorded voice of the anouncer lady in the elevator. 😆
Finally, this is a really good hotel for any occasion, and value for money ratio is very good.

Great location to explore Mdina. The old city is a 5 minutes walk. The hotel is a real boutique hotel, the attention to detail is amazing. Breakfast is served in a very stylish cozy room, good coffee,, friendly staff, enough to choose from. For general use the is is a roof terrace with a hot tub with a nice view towards the old city. Lunch tip: Maria's pastry, dining tip: the mondion Michelin restaurant or TownhouseNo3, both verry good with food and wines.
