Breakfast choices were great and food was first quality - prepared well.
The staff was outstanding !! It was our grandson’s 9th birthday - Lieke, Valentina, Caterina in the Front Office arranged for balloons and towel art (an elephant and birthday cake sculpted out of towels) - amazing. We appreciated their attention, politeness, and hospitality so much that we sent them a box of candy as a thank you after check out.

Great location, easy to find, amazing view from the balcony, a small kitchen I did not use on my short stay but would be a lovely spot to be for a few days and cook your own meals. On a beautiful street and steps from the harbor, less than a minute to multiple restaurants and less than ten minutes walk to be in Birgu or catch the ferry to Valletta. Great value for price. Would definitely stay again.

The pictures do not do justice to this gorgeous apartment. Very large, sunny apartment with spectacular views to the port of Sanglea and Valletta.
The bedrooms are in the back of the apartment and they are very quiet. The living room is bathed in sun, the kitchen is very comfortable.
Easy, ten minute walk to the ferry to Valetta. So much to see and do at Sanglea. We were fortunate to be there in mid-August and enjoyed amazing ritual parades and nightly spectacular fireworks in honor of the Virgin, the feast of Santa Marija!
Lots of restaurants in the area.
The only challenge was finding a supermarket.
Located in the heart of St. Julians, Alexandra Hotel offers air-conditioned rooms with a balcony. It features a rooftop swimming pool and a terrace with views of the Mediterranean Sea.

Constant buzzing noise from the hallway from an old magnetic door holder. Doors kept slamming, likely because it doesn’t hold them properly. I couldn't sleep without my noice cancelation earphones.
There's a continuous back and forth ferry to Valletta.
There's a continuous back and forth ferry to Valletta. Costs 2 euros and gives great views of the three cities and Valletta. The area has masses of character and a feeling of being in the centre of things yet it's very quiet and relaxed. Better than staying in Valletta and much better than staying in Sliema.

Lots of good Harbour restaurants walk round the harbour to Birgu and visit museums and churches. Catch the ferry or small boat to Valletta or people watch over a glass of wine.
Not so much else to do in Senglea and the area is hilly and lots of steps so not so good if your mobility is troublesome.
We had a lovely time and was a nice place for a short break.

Senglea is an excellent location to holiday, particularly if you don’t want too much noisy nightlife. It has lovely walks by the seafront with easy access to water Taxis to Travel to Valeta. It also has a fine range of restaurants and interesting museums, together with a nice sea swimming option at the point.

Quieter than Valetta. Bus stop 5 min walk from property. Half hour bus ride into Valetta where you can get a bus to anywhere. Senglea is on a raised finger on land so several steps down to the waterfront. Nice selection of Restaurants by the water.

One of the 3 Cities next to Valletta.
One of the 3 Cities next to Valletta. While Valletta was teeming (to put it nicely) with tourists, it was nice to "go home" to the quietness of Senglea after a day out. It's very charming and we really liked the waterfront meals we had there, as well as seeing Valletta in her entirety from the outside.

It was just perfect.
It was just perfect. We ate at a fish restaurant less than 10 minutes walk away on the first night (Novita), and at steak/lobster/pasta restaurant on the second night (Boa), a little further - maybe 20 minutes - which had live music. Very lively and friendly.

Everything! If you’re looking to discover real Malta pre tourism then this is the place for you! The home was perfect with lots of space, perfect balcony
views of Valletta (and the sun setting over Valletta), and only a 7 min walk to the pier to catch the €2 boat over to Valletta. My partner and I have fallen in love with Malta and are both so glad we stayed in Senglea rather than any of the other busy tourist areas. You will find peaceful streets and limited tourists in Senglea.
A really well equipped modern flat, immaculately kept, comfortable, and with many thoughtful extras, like generous breakfast ingredients to use on arrival. Well positioned in the historical area of Senglea, with a nearby bus stop for Valetta, and a short walk to the harbour ferry. Simon was very helpful in letting us leave our bags, even while they were cleaning, both before check-in and after check-out. I have never given 10 out of 10 before!!
Beautifully restored boutique hotel with great attention to detail & extremely comfortable & well-equipped rooms. We loved the location, being in Senglea close to the Valletta ferry & with restaurants, cafes & local shops nearby. Friendly & helpful staff prepared delicious breakfasts for us every day. Very reasonable roof top honesty bar, but sadly the weather wasn’t quite warm enough for us to make much use of it!
My hosts Eric and Michael were professional, friendly and extremely proactive in offering every assistance. The hotel/guest house is well thought out and beautifully presented. My room was on the top floor with stunning views of the yacht marina and historical buildings. The breakfast was excellent in all respects. I loved the quite location with Valletta just a ten minute ferry ride across Grand harbour.
Hotel was in amazing old building with all the amenities one can imagine. Room was very clean and comfortable . Breakfast was excellent. location was very nice. Staff were very helpful.
