We have enjoyed every minute of our vacation in this beautiful resort. It is located in lush park and has great beach. If you like to snorkel, this is the place to go.
We've met many very helpful and kind personnel. Special thanks go to mr.Jay on the Suite beach and Mrs. Kavita, which both were extremely professional and always prepared to help. For sure we'll come back soon!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful, well equipped and very clean villa. The pool area with comfortable sun loungers was a real highlight.
The host was very friendly, helpful and gave great tips for excursions and restaurants.
Quiet and well located - perfect for relaxing and exploring. We would love to come back and would recommend the villa.

The room size, the comfort and the aesthetics were superb. Great layout so you come out and the pools and beach all there. Enough water activities offered for free, plus great yoga class on the beach. Staff were great, went out of their way to be helpful and lovely touches - like a bubble bath turndown. It's just an ideal place to relax, knowing you have all the amenities available.

Lots of facilities: pool, barbeque, well equipped kitchen. The hosts were very friendly and responsive, and fixed an issue we had on the same day. Location is quiet and well accessible by car. Would definitely recommend.

Balaclava is not the most lively part of Mauritius which suited us perfectly. It consists mostly of vegetable fields, forests and small hamlets. The coast is getting developed with hotels but each is keeping its space so it doesn't feel crowded. You need to rent a car or get a taxi to visit the nearest town, Pamplemousses. There you have the old sugar factory, botanical gardens and a very pleasant shopping mall with a food supermarket.

Although it was very hot and humid but there always was a cooling breeze along the coast.
Couldn`t fault the staff, always very friendly an helpful and the room service was excellent, clean and efficient.
We were not a young couple (in out 70s and 80s) and preferred to stay and enjoy the restful facilities of the resort. We could see that young couples with children were having a good time and were more likely to travel around the island in the heat.

Balaclava is remote so no opportunity to walk anywhere.
Balaclava is remote so no opportunity to walk anywhere. We were fine with a good dinner and the occasional musician but some might find it boring. We used a driver but if not then you’d need a car to get round the island. It was cyclone season so mixed weather but in general the North of the island has drier sunnier weather than the South.

From the arrival to the stay, everything has been impeccable. The room was beautiful, the view was to die for! The service was perfect, especially the professionalism. The warm welcome and kindness of Mr Kevin, the front desk manager was exceptional. I felt i had a staff member dedicated to me personally. He deserves a bouquet of flowers. May Intercontinental Hotels train their employees using him as a model. My thanks to all the other lovely staff as well.
There’s a lot to do and various activities available organised by the hotel. Staff are all friendly and nice. Rooms are big and spacious. Lovely private beach, fun pool area, recommend the spa.
Gorgeous hotel, right on the beach. My room had lovely sunset views and an outdoor shower which I really enjoyed. Most of the staff were lovely and kind.
