This is not the first time I stayed at this accommodation! So therefor this is not my first review.
Actually I extended my stay because I like it so much!
Everything looks like on the photos. For me it was my "little home away from home"!
Bed is good, bathroom is good, Wifi is good, small but efficient kitchen - all good.
Nice outside area! Easy access through a code system.
It is remote, but not far away from everything!
And it is affordable when you look at other places in and around Chapala!

Chapala is a nice and very relaxed town right at the lake with the same
name! It has a supermarket, but also a nice local market with fresh fruit
and vegetables. Considering that the area is very popular with tourists
it isn't overly touristy. The local population is still very present in every
day life. Prices are still reasonable! And people are still nice and
friendly!

Beautiful quaint town, that has so much to offer. some beautiful properties, views, and long walks by the lake. Beautiful people who are eager to serve you. Best breakfast at the hotel Plaza Chapala, prepared by Veronica a wonderful cook. Driving to Ajijic, and Jocotepec is worth the trip.

We liked Chapala.
We liked Chapala. In our opinion, it had a better feel than Ajijic, which we stayed in before and visited again this trip. There was a central market right across the road from our lodging and it was a convenient source of fresh fruit and veggies. There was also good fresh bread, cheese and a variety of meat. There were some good restaurants in town but the open air chicken & chips place (50m to the left after exiting the hotel) made us sick, so we couldn't recommend it.

The town of Chapala is a Mexican town not a touristy town like Ajijic. Chapala is laid back. More true Mexican than we expected. Everyone was friendly and we never felt afraid. It was great to watch the local Indian tribes perform since we were there during a Cultural Week. We had an Italian dinner at Romeo and Juiletta's, breakfast and cappuccino at the Paris Restaurant; every meal we had was great. Chapala is only 30 minutes from the Guadalajara airport and an hour or so from the town of Guadalajara. We really enjoyed our short time there and hope to go back soon for longer.

A friendly working Mexican town - fewer tourists.
A friendly working Mexican town - fewer tourists. Loved the bits of local artistry - the serpent painted steps are magnificent. Very affordable. Nice malecon where you can see the best sunsets on Lake Chapala.

The Malacon is the place to be.
The Malacon is the place to be. Everything that you need is there. We ate at the hotel we stayed in, but there are countless restaurants to enjoy on the malacon and also a short walk from there. Getting around: Once you arrive, walking is the best option, because everything is that close it makes so much sense.

Good place to stay in central Chapala. A little bit expensive (as for Mexican standards) but deserves its price. Very friendly and helpful owner. Fully equipped apartment with everything you need. Walking distance from harbour.

Great place to stay if you prefer not to live in a little hotel box. Warm friendly family, nice breakfast, clean and welcoming. I wish we could stay in a place like this every time we travel.
