Everything was great - the pools, the room itself, the quiet location easily accessible to main eateries. There’s hammocks and loungers right in front of the hotel on a beach area and loungers on the beach itself. Really impressed by the breakfast options. The staff were also friendly and helpful - shout out to Adam!! We’d definitely recommend this beautiful place.

Not much to be honest, especially since they absolutely does not take any responsibility. Be aware that the staff and management will accuse you of lying if you make a review on trustpilot.

One of the best hotels we have stayed in, everything went beyond expectations. The spicy Margherita at The Skybar is a must!!
Only downside that we won’t reflect in the scoring, was they were undergoing work on the stairway to the skybar area. Personally believe guests should have been informed and this also should have stopped around 5/6pm so guests could enjoy the facilities of the bar in the evening - it went on quite late, so we avoided that area, which was a shame as it the staff were lovely, drinks were great and view was next to none.

During last decade I visited over 150 hotels, including many 4/5 stars, and this one is easily in the top 3.
- Location in the most picturesque and peaceful part of the island;
- Very friendly and caring Staff in the reception & restaurants,
- Great public areas - highly Instagramable pools, beach club, plenty of sunbeds etc.
- We were super happy of our room with small private pool - convinient & with beatiful details like boho shower or underwater lights in the pool imitating bioluminescence, which is tha Island famous of.

I love Holbox - try to visit at least once a year.
I love Holbox - try to visit at least once a year. Unfortunately, the island is starting to get very touristy and costly in comparison to prior years.
Think the ways of Tulum...would definitely recommend visiting before it becomes impossible to go to to be able to enjoy the true, rustic beauty of the island.

This was our second time in Holbox, and although it was busier than our last time (in December) it still wasn't too bad with crowds. Holbox is beautiful and the people are friendly. We love it there.

Holbox is great if you know what to expect.
Holbox is great if you know what to expect.
It DOES NOT have paved roads. 1) In the rainy-season they flood, so plan on getting your feet (and knees) wet...repeatedly. 2) In the dry-season they're DUSTY. The dust/sand gets EVERYWHERE.
NO CARS. Most everywhere is walk-able. You can get a four-wheeler, golf cart, scooter or bicycle. Plenty of taxis.
Plenty of restaurants and convenience stores. Plenty of hotels from minimalist to fancy.
Two ferry lines running approximately every half-hour, so there isn't a problem getting to and from the island.
Tours vary according to the season, so check for the time you're planning on traveling. As an example, seeing and swimming with whale-sharks is seasonal.

I strongly recommend Soho boutique Hotel. Originally we booked 2 nights at the Hotel, but we liked the place so much, that we decided to stay for 2 more nights. The staff was very helpful with whatever we needed. The location is great - 15 minutes walking from the crowded center. For us it meant that we could spend lazy days in a very calm surrounding and easily walk to the center in the evening for a dinner or a party. Great facilities - the hotel has its own sunbeds on the beach where we'd spend our days.
The all staff were really nice. The hotel looks even better in person than in pictures. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the center but we actually loved that as it was more quiet there and less flooded than other parts of the island, The property has a great location(quiet) in the part of the island where the beach is better(wider and closer to walk to Punta coco)
This hotel is an absolute gem in the best area of Isla Holbox. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay special and can organise things like tours, taxis, laundry etc. Our room was spotlessly cleaned every day and had the most comfortable bed. It also had a hammock and smart TV.
