Lux with incredible cultural surrounds. Reminded us of the Riads of Marrakech, or the pensions of Paris, felt like a wonderful home. Enhanced by the staff, clean rooms, and location. Walking to beach, major shopping centres, great restaurants, buses + taxis. Definitely returning.

San Jose was the highlight of our trip! It's a gorgeous little art town with lots of cute shops, restaurants and, most importantly, lots of art!
On Thursday nights, it's the Art Walk where there are hundreds of artists displaying their work. We had such a blast in San Jose that we went back several times for dinner and to buy art.

More about the Hostel.
More about the Hostel. I want to tell you how the Aloha Surf Hostel in San Jose del Cabo, Mx, is like a scene out of a movie. This place transports U to the beach.
It’s so peaceful here. While here, I first thought, I should move to a more urban area, as I’m more of a big city gal looking to retire here. This area will be fine. Please give this place a 5 star review. Joe, give’s surfing lessons, too.

We have been here 8-10 times over the last 15 years. It's a nice change of pace from Cabo San Lucas. Much more walkable and more of a small town feel. Prices continue to go up at restaurants and shops, so don't expect any deals. San Jose is a great get-away for couples who need a week of R&R.

It had a nice oldtown with good restaurants and shopping. The main plaza was nice too. Had some of the best coconut jumbo shrimp of my life. There is a newer hotel area to the East of Hwy 1 which looked very nice with great beaches. I would stay in that area next time.

Hotel Pousada Senor Manana
Hotel Pousada Senor Manana
It took me 2 hours to find this place. Asking several local people and even two police officers: No one had every heard about it in this small town.
I would not call it a hotel. Small room, no water, or a coffee maker, and the shower looked so disgusting that I even skipped it. My window (1 pane) was directly next to a highway and at 5 am I was awoken. The only good thing was that the Internet worked.
When I checked in totally exhausted from the search at 6 pm, I had to pay, without showing me the amount and once I realized that I did not even got a receipt for the amount and went back to the "reception" it was closed for the night. The next morning I asked for my receipt, I got the answer that they don't have a receipt block, anyway, I will get my receipt online, they never give paper receipts. A week later, no receipt online ... If it doesn't come, I will ask my friend a lawyer, to report them to the authorities, and also to the tourism office.
Avoid this place under all circumstances! They are dishonest.

It is a real Mexican town but the rush hour traffic can get very bad. I felt safe walking around in the daytime and also nighttime near the hotel which is in a true Mexican neighborhood. I have lived in Mexico for 8 years so I am well acquainted to it. I stayed well away from the touristy areas as they do not interest me. I ate at a Mandarin Chinese restaurant and at a Los Claros, Jr. seafood restaurant. There are quite a few Los Claros in La Paz so I have had their delicious food many times. A car is pretty much needed as it is quite a long ways from one end of the town to the other. Many grocery stores.... both large and small everywhere.

Great location on the beach and walking distance to lots of restaurants, and a supermarket. I loved that they had water dispensers on each floor so we could fill up our water bottles. We stayed here at the beginning of our trip, then Cabo San Lucas at the end.... and by far this was a much better option. It is the more "low key" side of Los Cabos.
The location was fabulous, watching the sunset on the beach. Frida was incredibly helpful with transportation and other information as was the caretaker. Would definitely stay again/
It is not the huge packed resorts. The rooms were very nice, it was right on the beach, and the staff was wonderful. It was run by a family that made you feel at home.
