This place is really an oasis in the heart of Tlacotalpan. The building is beautifully restored with period-appropriate tiling, fixtures, and hardwood pillars. Our standard room was modestly sized but nicely appointed. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and Louis the housecat is a lively presence! The whole vibe is very calm, quiet, and classy. We didn't try the spa facilities, but appreciated the pool, bathrobes, etc. A great place for a break in one of the prettiest small towns in the Americas.
Free Wi-Fi, a swimming pool and a local craft shop are offered at this family-run guest house. It is situated in the charming centre of Tlacotalpan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Beautiful old hotel. Helpful staff - wrote out the best route to Oaxaca for us. Parking in marked bays just in front of the hotel. Next to market in one direction and the very colourful colonial houses in the other. View of the river.

Our host was wonderful and very helpful. He also shared local history and photographs of the town. He is an artist, and we talked art and painting which was quite fun. The apartment was well located in an unusual town. Birds were prevalent and our room view into a flowering shrub was quite relaxing. We had been driving for several days, so our stop here really recharged our batteries.
