This 17th Century mansion, carefully restored to its former splendor by the descendants of the original owners, offers a prime location next to Vasco de Quiroga Square, Patzcuaro's main square.

Unfortunately our room was right above Dominos Pizza. The room got very hot from the ovens and the arome off the pizza was ever present. The revkng of the delivery motorcycles did not help with our sleep either.. Otherwise our stay was pleasant.

Hotel Boutique Casa Colorada features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Pátzcuaro. This 5-star hotel offers room service and a concierge service.

The property is beautiful with a bar, game room, restaurant, and outdoor garden area. Nice welcome cocktail. Our room was overlooking the courtyard with nice big French doors to let in light. The service is outstanding from reception to everyone working there. A special commendation to Gonzalo who anticipated our every need. He was exceptional.

Beautiful lake but nothing to do there.

Beautiful lake but nothing to do there. We went at the end of May and everything was closed. Super rural town. Nowhere to eat. Nobody could tell us when their busy season is supposed to start (my husband speaks Spanish which did not help). Locals literally did not know when is the best time to visit there to have everything open and available so maybe it's on the decline? No kayak rental; no horseback riding. Lake is not for swimming and doesn't have a beach. 2 small stores were open but had only chips, snacks and pop.
