Room need makeover. shower head needs to be changed, water quality is bad, yellow. bedroom towels need to be changed they look very old. air conditioner is hot and leaking. A/C compressor making noise whole night 😢😢. the restaurant and food is great but not the breakfast. they should close the breakfast because i saw flies crawling on the food✌️ place is relaxing and clean

Stayed 4days during raya, location strategic, quite peacefull at busy area. Got view of gunung kinabalu from our window in morning. Staff is helpfull and friendly. To improve on food quality at cafe, Need pest treatment especially on cockroach issue.

    Kinarut is a stop on only railway in Borneo.

    Kinarut is a stop on only railway in Borneo. We took the train at 7:45am southbound from Tanjung Aru station. Can also be reached easily via GRAB from BKI, KK's international airport: 15 - 20 minutes. Kinarut was the location for a refugee camp for Vietnamese boat people in the 1970s. After the Vietnamese were relocated to USA and elsewhere, local refugees [Philippines; Indonesia] filled the camp. Area has a reputation for poverty, but we did not witness the camp. Strip of beach has a number of resorts which offer a variety of price points and services - all quite affordable.

    Staff is very lovely. Swimming pool is great and private houses are very cute and comfortable. Good deal for the price. Restaurant food is good. 15 min drive from the airport in low traffic time. Beach is a little dirty with garbage that washes up from the ride, but the staff clean it regularly which is great.

    An excellent resort that is value for money. It is right next to the beach at a much more affordable price compared to Tanjung Aru. Also we discovered an additional bonus of firefly sightseeing tour just minutes from the hotel

    Really nice hotel , all the staff were friendly and helpful , the hotel provides a really good breakfast and the rooms are large and comfortable. The swimming pools are a real added bonus .

    Upgrade to units facing beach with own pool made this visit special. Other units are farther away and have their own pool. Food was excellent and varied. Nice wine cellar!
