Exceed my expectation. You can have everyting provided by the so called branded’ hotels but with smaller scale of course.

Location was superb. Right in the middle of the town and close to food nearby. Room was spacious and very clean. Staffs were very responsive and friendly. Ample amount of parking spaces. Love the mini fridge provided in the room.
It is a small town with many to offer. Food is excellent, night life is vibrant and for a small town, the place is lively. You will need to drive to get to places so I would recommend renting car to get by as the public transport is limited and taxi (or Grab) is quite pricey.
Tanjung Piai is a must see here but beware of monkeys. Best not to bring any food or any items that could be snatched away easily. Never offer them food as it will be the last thing that you'll do (you'll get a mob of them antagonising you instantly). Check the weather forecast or you might be stranded at the jetty when the tide comes in. It is also quite hot and humid so stay hydrated.
Food is the least of your concern as there are many restaurants and cafes around. Explore and try the famous local dishes and you won't regret it.
