Holiday Inn Express is next to Sloterdijk train station which offers convenient connections to Amsterdam Central Train Station and Schiphol Airport.

Staff was great and friendly. The one element i disliked was that the elevators were super crowded during breakfast hour and very slow, on check out day, I missed 3 Ubers and had to pay for those, and i still had to carry 2 heavy bags down from the 4th floor with a child in tow because the elevators just weren't available!...though the staff had up to that point.been friendly, when I voiced my frustration with the situation, the front office people were quite unapologetic, as if to say that it wasn't their problem

The Best Culture and Nightlife this Side of a Canal

Jump on your city bike or hop on a canal boat and admire Amsterdam, the Venice of the North! The beautiful city houses, romantic bridges, iconic canals and street cafés create its unique atmosphere and give you an ultimate taste of its fascinating past.

Famous for its museums, most important of which are located in the Museumplein, Amsterdam offers you a chance to see unforgettable masterpieces by Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Mondriaan and more. The Anne Frank House is a sobering reminder of the city’s more recent history. After a lot of walking, the Rijksmuseum is a great place to rest and get some extra culture before visiting Amsterdam’s lovely Vondelpark.

The medieval Old Center with the always busy Dam Square and the tempting Red Lights District is the most visited part of Amsterdam. Make sure to stop at Leidseplein and Rembrandtplein, homes to the best nightlife venues.

Shop till you drop at Amsterdam’s most luxury shopping street, PC Hooftstraat, the most popular street market at Albert Cuyp or in the fancy design shops of the Jordaan district. Famous pancakes and frites with mayonnaise are a must-try! The more adventurous traveler might want to try the pickled herring, followed closely by a local beer.

All these attractions are just a short train ride from the Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport. Whether you want to stay at a cozy hotel on a canal, a modern apartment in a quiet part of the city or a room in the center of everything, Booking.com has a perfect accommodation for your Amsterdam vacation.

Easy to walk around and great public transport.

Easy to walk around and great public transport. I was able to do two bicycle tours (one city and one countryside), a few museums and a trip to Keukenhof to see the spring flowers. I was travelling alone and felt comfortable getting around. I especially enjoyed walking in the evening and seeing all the canals lit up.

Amsterdam is a cool place but it is being destroyed by tourism. It is disgusting to see such a beautiful city being ruined this way. Prepare a good ammount of money because everything is super expensive. Despite all of this the cultural offer is amazing and if you avoid the city center you can have a really good experience. I recommend to be really careful at night cause some places can be dangerous. We visited the Van Gogh Museum and the curiosity cabbinet of the Vrolik collection in the UCM hospital, a real must if you enjoy seeing natural oddities.

Amsterdam is a fab city to visit.

Amsterdam is a fab city to visit. It's really easy to get around. Cycling is a dream here, because it's flat and there are cycling lanes everywhere. Great choices of restaurants and bars. Definitely a good idea to take a canal boat tour, visit the Rijk and Van Gogh museums and Anne Frank's house. It's a really beautiful city, the people are friendly and the air feels fresh as there are so few cars compared to most cities. We will definitely be back.

It is an interesting, walkable city. I was there in the middle of winter and it was very cold with lots of rain and wind. While I enjoyed walking around, I was quite shocked at the amount of rubbish, graffiti and general derelict look of some areas around the canals. It seems to be very neglected compared with the last time I was there (about 7 years ago).

Amsterdam is a beautiful and vibrant city with a rich history, stunning canals, and plenty of cultural attractions. It's a great place for sightseeing, cycling, and exploring unique neighborhoods. However, it can get crowded, especially around the main tourist spots. Public transport is convenient, but the city’s charm lies in wandering its picturesque streets and discovering hidden gems

Element is nestled in a modern shopping centre in the popular and safe suburb of Amsterdam South. The location is superb. Accommodation is easily connected to the city by Metro and bus within walking distance. In addition there is bike hire from the hotel of reasonable rates, ideal for going to the Bos , Amstel Park, and for riding to the city centre, touring experience is only ever complete in Amsterdam on a bike tour! Really happy about the room. The bed is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent.
