Basic cabin but had all the things we needed. The host was responsive and accommodated us well with the last minute booking and late check in. Bonus - we saw aurora right outside of the cabin.

We cannot recommend this cabin enough- it’s in the most idyllic setting by a river. It is excellently equipped with- we cooked a full roast dinner for New Year’s Day.
It’s cosy and warm.
We stayed in polar winter and saw the aurora every night - even from the decking. We built campfires with the kids with cheap wood bought from the owner and had them in one of their fire pits.
We went on excursions to see reindeer, go snow shoe walking (self hired with maps at Skibotn hotel) , went on a snowmobile trip and a dog sled trip.
All these trips happen in Skibotn valley - many people travel daily from
Tromsø here to do these activities - staying here meant we could spend more time enjoying ourselves rather than travelling

Excellent place, at the beginning of the trail to Steindalsbreen. Well equipped, clean and at a reasonable price. Great for 3-4 people, might be a bit crowded for 6.

The bathroom is spaceous. Everything was very nice, clean, tidy. We had a coffee/cappuchino...hot water machine in the corridor and tea free of charge 24/7. Very good location, 150m from bus, ferry, shops. If you like fishing or chasing the Northern Aurora Borealis, you can find easily dark places to watch by walking to the nearest pier and you have good view to the entire fjord and the mountains, or if you like to walk around 15-20min you can climb up the road to Lyngen, at the top of the hill and to find there nice, dark places to watch the Auroras. Nice, peaceful place where I felt very relaxed and safe.

We stayed one night in the glass igloo, and even though the weather wasn't great, we had a great time.
The igloo was small, as expected, but very warm and modern. The person who greeted us was very friendly and helpful.

The house was close to Fljord and some local mountains behind it! The view was spectacular in the morning with the rising sun! Last evening I also got a view of the Northern lights I just had to walk closer to the Fjord and get a shadow of all the lights! Amusing!
All the things in the apartment were well-planned and did function properly. It was easy to relax before the next drive to North! Thanks to the host family. I would be happy to return someday!
