This hotel was a fantastic choice for my stay . The rooms were spacious and clean room and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful always going about and beyond. The location was also perfect right in the heart of Thamel. The elegant design, impeccable service, and serene ambience create an unprecedented experience. Wonderful stay at Kumari Boutique hotel in Thamel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I traveled solo and they were always keen to help me with taxis and answer any questions. This hotel doesn't have the frills of a western hotel chain but it's comfortable, clean, safe, and a good location if you want to be in Thamel. Bed was super comfortable...imo! Room cost is very affordable so you can save your money for excursions, shopping etc.! Hotel also offers airport pickup for $10. Much more expensive than a taxi but if it's your first time to Kathmandu and you don't want any hassle haggling for a taxi out front or stopping at the ore-paid taxi stand it's a nice piece of mind. Drawbacks were that the included breakfast doesn't offer much choice and during my stay the pastries seemed stale. Coffee is only instant but on the plus side, you can order from a full cafe next door for a discount and the Kumari staff will bring your cappuccino, Americano whatever to your table on the super cute patio.
