Excellent breakfast from the restaurant. For breakfast, there's something for every taste—eggs of your choice, pancakes, fresh fruit, melon juice, soup, potatoes, and more.
For lunch and dinner at the restaurant, I tried the pasta and salads—everything was very good.
The ladies at the reception were very friendly and attentive. Room cleaning was excellent. The air conditioner worked perfectly, and there were no issues with the hot shower.
The internet connection was decent—I was able to work remotely for a few days without any problems.
The hotel also offers a free airport shuttle. The driver was waiting for me with a sign displaying my name without any delays.
Payment can be made by credit card or in cash, cash both in US dollars and the local currency.

The strategic location to the best places at Thanel and at the same time away from the hustle and bustle. The room was a dream, beautiful and just the right size for a solo traveler. The bedding was good and the amenities provided were good too. Rahul was especially accommodating and very helpful especially during check in. The door man outside was very friendly and assured I was safe outside waiting to go to the airport.

Gorgeous former place to stay in, set back from the road with quiet, lovely grounds and nice pool. Interesting carvings and artwork inside and beautifully painted and decorated. Great service and good breakfast with choice of various hot options. Very helpful staff. A 15- 20 minute walk from the noise and bustle of Thamel. A real treat to stay here.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! Everything was perfect – the rooms were spotless, and the location was very convenient, just a short distance from the city center. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they even picked me up from the airport, which was a thoughtful touch. As a tourist from Central Europe, I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting. Truly an unforgettable experience!

Start by visiting Darbar Square. There is a restaurant named Sasatawa at Kirtipur. They serve traditional foods at affordable prices. Pashupatinath Mandir is amazing in the evening. However, air pollution is something to be careful of.

During my visit to Kathmandu, I stayed at Hotel Lakhey, whose convenient location made shopping and exploring the city effortless. The bustling streets were filled with vibrant markets, offering traditional crafts and souvenirs. Kathmandu itself is rich in cultural heritage, with ancient temples, historic sites, and the lively atmosphere of Durbar Square reflecting its deep-rooted history.

I always love Kathmandu - its architect, its vibes, its shops - including bookshops and the food. This time it is a bit stressful due to short time for visiting, dishonest reception staff at the hotel and heavy pollution of dusts and smell in the air.
The night life inside Thamel has been a surprise - a happy surprise with a lot more offers from the city with lights, musics and spaces.
Tribuwan International airport has been much less chaotic with new services both inside and outside the lounge, making the tourists leaving Kathmandu with more positive feeling.
Visa online was a fraud. Do not fall for it. Visa on arrival is a lot better served at the airport although the Immigration Officers are still same rude and unwelcoming.
I hope the city and national governments will do something to bring back clean and welcoming Kathmandu.

The city is very crowded, disorganized, not safe to walk around and on the streets with so many motorbikes running around. Policemen do not help when asked for assistance. No modern shopping center or grocery shop, only markets with basic food, fruits and vegetables. For example, I have found fruit yogurts only in one supermarket and only of one type (was not the best either).

There is so much to see and do ... we were busy every day! We did the Everest mountain flight, a knife-making workshop, a traditional Nepalese cookery class, visited all the temples, did the Nagarkot sunrise hike, hiked Shivapuri National Park, saw the sites in Durbar Square, went to Boudhanath, Pashupatinath, did Chandragiri Cable Car (great views!), did the Skywalk Tower and went tea-tasting and shopped for souvenirs in Thamel.
Incredible city: 10 days was a perfect amount of time to see everything in Kathmandu at a good pace!
There is a taxi app and taxis are around $1-3. It's incredibly cheap to get around and very safe.

Indra and his collegue are very welcoming and helpful. I was travelling alone and felt super safe. The location in the center of Thamel is very convenient, and also calm, as the hotel is in a small dead-end street. I travel on a small budget and could get a room with a private bathroom (super clean). The furnitures are a bit old dated but the bed linen is clean. It is a small budget place, don't expect more than a clean and safe place to sleep, but be sure you will rapidly feel like home.
Classic hotel - very atmospheric. Maybe not the best option for the business that I had to carry out (wifi was a bit flaky when I needed it to work), but as a tourist doing a bit of trekking and looking for nice places to eat, the location in Thamel is second to none.
Best hotel in Thamel. I like their service and amenities. The highlight was their staff. Super amazing. Food was great. Location is convenient for visit sightseen and local market like asan and Thamel. They arranged me taxi on reasonable price for Visit local places.
I always stay here when visiting Thamel. Been staying since 2019 and have always had a very positive experience. Great staff, good location comfortable rooms, and the best breakfast and coffee! Really good value hotel.
