I had a wonderful time with Hari and his family. Hari clearly has such love for the area and is so knowledgeable as a guide. The homestay is a bit more remote, but I think it's certainly worth the journey, for the walking safari we were able to walk into the jungle from the homestay! It was so peaceful and far from the tourist crowds. My room and bathroom were very clean and had what I needed, Hari's parents ensured I was very well fed and their home is beautiful. I hope I will be visiting again, and I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

We had a truly wonderful time Barahi jungle lodge. It was hugely relaxing and peaceful, with our beautiful room looking over the river. The beds were so comfortable and the bathroom was lovely too. Food was really delicious every meal. Loved all of it - very fresh and varied.
We did two full days of drives and saw extensive wildlife, with a fleeting glimpse of a tiger in the distance. However the large number of rhino, deer, monkeys, some sloth bears, bison and birds mean that it’s a really enchanting experience in beautiful surroundings.
Huge thanks to every member of the team for making it such a wonderful experience. There was extreme kindness and generosity shown.

Tiger Wildlife Resort was my home for two weeks. Besides the beauty of the place, perfect for those who seek quiet surroundings, what was truly remarkable is the care I received as a guest here. I felt like a VIP, a princess even, as the owners, Gambir, and the rest of the team, went out of their way to make my stay absolutely perfect.
I was given what I believe is the best room on the property, with a balcony facing the park, from which every morning I would see all sorts of animals: deers, rhinos, boars and countless birds (among which peacocks and black storks and openbills)
The food here is absolutely excellent, always freshly made and very tasty. The chef is so sweet, always doing his best to satisfy my (many!) requests.
The safaris and tours were also lovely experiences, as the parks in the area have lots to offer. I recommend taking the time to visit Tikauli and the 20k lake.
I also enjoyed walking around the rural village and talking to a few locals who seem to adore foreigners.
In general, I would imagine staying here about 5 days is enough to tick all the touristy stuff of the list... unless - like me - you're not in a rush about seeing this and that, maybe you work online and enjoy taking some time away from more mundane life.. then stay as long as your heart feels and discover how wholesome it is to become a Tiger Wildlife family member !
Thank you, everyone, till next time!
The location maps they point to are incorrect. It took me in the opposite direction. Even the mobile they provide is incorrect. I complained to the front desk staff to correct immediately so that the other client won't be misguided.
