Guest reviewIt was good value for money. The place has a peaceful ambience. The highlight for us was the bathtub in the washroom. You can also gaze at the city view from the tall windows. The staffs were also very helpful and quick to respond. Overall, we had a relaxing stay at this lovely hotel.

The hotel and grounds are lovely, with beautiful views of the Himalayas in the early morning. However the property is somewhat isolated, being located all by itself on the mountainside. So there is nothing much to do there and nowhere really to walk to (Nagarkot not being much of a town to begin with) Also the swimming pool and hot tub is indoors in a rather unpleasant, humid, glass-encased room. I stayed in the Hotel Prem Durbar Hotel & Nagarkot Zipline. The hotel has excellent location. I was given a room with an excellent City view especially during night. Service, staff, rooms, view, Spa facilities, restaurant & bar, round the clock service was all Very Good. The property despite its terrain has been designed in a very user friendly way. Suggest you go in a group of at least 4-6 persons. or it can get boring. Not much to do around except trekking trails and long walks and yoga in the park. One can visit the city of Kathmandu and Pashupatinath temple. But if you are alone or a couple it can get a little lonesome. It is in a perfect location, for example if you ride the local bus for a little bit then you will end up in the city of nagarkot to do the panoramic hiking trail. Just a short walk from the home stay is the suspension bridge and if you walk just a little longer you will find a beautiful waterfall. The food was great (esp the set breakfasts and the thukpa) and the room was clean and comfortable. No heating, but Sambar gave me an extra fleece blanket and I bought a hot water bag from the local pharmacy (and some fleecy socks from a local shop). I did a couple of hikes with Sambar’s brother, Krishna, who was a great guide. A nice hotel in rural location. 20 minute uphill walk to village shops etc. 5 minute walk to view sunrise (well worth seeing). Owner wil advise for walks ranging 1 hour to 4 hours, some you can just get bus back up. Also roof terrace for sun and hanging washing if needed. Suggest use InDrive app for taxi to and from. He is an amazing host, very nice and helpfull: we arrived too late in the evening with the bus, we called him and he came to pick us up with 2 motorbikes! If you want to live an experience 100% nepalese, far from the crowd of the big cities, this will be perfect. The view can be amazing and the food was really good.
