Beautiful 150-year-old villa in a magical setting. Lovely gardens and a 2-minute walk from the Akaroa village. Excellent breakfast and complimentary welcome drinks. We have stayed here before and would do so again. Highly recommended

What wonderful hosts! We felt so welcomed and we loved the garden and the interior of the house. We felt like we were in an English manor. The breakfast was exceptional with Sharon fixing it one morning and Noel the second morning we were there. Loved the conversation at happy hour too!

Akaroa is a lovely little town and worth visiting but there is not a great deal to do particularly if the weather is cool.
The French bakery is superb, baguettes and pastries delicious.
The Akaroa locals are friendly.

Akaroa is beautiful.
Akaroa is beautiful. The hospitality and people are excellent - such a shame they have lost thousands of cruise ship visitors to nearby ports. It is a stunning location and exceptional restaurants ( Ma Maison in particular was outstanding)
Recommended 100% Please visit - the community relies on tourism heavily and has so much to offer.

The position and view was great We had an issue with the unit.we requested and paid for a 2 people unit but ended up in a 4 people unit which meant the second queen bed took up all the lounge .the dining area 2 . 3 m x 2 .3 became the living / dining unbelievably cramped
We were celebrating our 49th anniversary
We would advise everyone to double check that they get what they requested
Not happy campers

Akaroa is a short drive from Christchurch. It is a beautiful place to visit. We recommend booking an Akaroa Cooking School class. We have been to a few classes now and they are great, You have lots of fun and pick up some great cooking tips and recipes.

It is a lovely seaside town with a great bakery, a few restaurants and a reasonable beach. The Akaro Beachfront motel is the best place to stay. Do also visit the Giant's house and (if you have time) the free museum.
Also go on a penguin tour!!

Akaroa is a beautiful quaint seaside town.
Akaroa is a beautiful quaint seaside town. Has a lovely harbour surrounded by hills. Only 1.5 hours from Christchurch so it is great for a mini break away. There is lots to do from being very active to just enjoying the peace and quiet of the area.

Very comfortable and spacious. Great waterfront location and easy walking access to shops and cafes in Akaroa Village. Lovely view. Enjoyed the spa bath.
