Our time spent here was perfect from the moment we arrived to the time we left. We were met by our very friendly, warm, welcoming hosts Sue & Paul. After showing us around and asking if we wanted a complimentary wine tasting & tour, we settled in our one bedroom Studio, which was very comfortable and well appointed. We took up the dinner option & had a wonderful, memorable evening full of delicious food, good fun conversation and of course their fabulous Pinot wines enjoyed by all of us.
Another highlight of course is the magnificent view from the house over their great garden & extended to the Vines and the majestic background of
the Grey Ridge, just amazing!
Thanks again for a great time & experience.

Alex is a great central place that you can get to all the good spots from.
Much better than staying in Queenstown with all the traffic and planes going overhead.
Accomm a bit more reasonably priced too

Great cabin - if a bit small.
Great cabin - if a bit small. Great view of mountain and cows. Beautiful breakfast and friendly hosts. Ate at Mexican restaraunt (seemed like the only one open). Good food and ambience. Would go back again.

I was there for a golf tournament.
I was there for a golf tournament. Absolutely awesome place to base yourself and friends. Has an amazing sports complex. I always enjoy a soak at the local pool. Lots of good restaurants to choose from. Including the RSA friendly and brilliant restaurant and atmosphere. Make time to browse around the shops

Great town with personality.
Great town with personality. Quality shopping available and awesome range of restaurants. Especially the Thai and RSA. Supermarkets options are great too. Recommend time at the local Pool . Nice to relax after an average game of golf. Must walk up to the clock on the hill. Beautiful views. And don't leave without walking over the bridge.

We found Alexandra easy to find our way around.
We found Alexandra easy to find our way around. We had a lovely evening meal at The Finary and then breakfast at the Tin Goose Cafe.
I was really disappointed that The Packing Shed was closed the day we were there as that is always a fabulous lunch stop especially at Cherry picking time! A bit out of town but definately worth a visit.

The staff I met were very friendly and helpful going out of their way to show me where everything was.
The hotel is well located for beautiful walks locally. Loved my morning walk through the mist beside the river lined with autumn trees.
There was a nice small kitchen with adequate cutlery etc. There was a choice of breakfast cereals etc for breakfast.
Fabulous location, only a few minutes out of Alexandra, but a world apart. Great views over Butchers dam and Old Man Range. Interesting history and handy to a great walking track.
Great house with an awesome bathroom, well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Fantastic grounds and water front location.
Nice quiet location on the outskirts of Alexandra. Easy instructions to access the accommodation. Facilities provided were excellent. Nice welcoming with a message on a blackboard and chocolates.
The Alexandra Motor Lodge is in a great location next to New World and close to the town centre. We have returned a few times. The owners are very accommodating and great to deal with.
The bed was incredibly comfy, best hotel bed i'd ever stayed in. I'm over 2 metres tall and for the first time ever i could fit under a hotel shower. Truly a top tier place to stay
