Located in Cheviot, Ribbonwood Country House offers accommodation with seating area. This property offers access to a terrace, bowling in the bowling alley, free private parking and free WiFi.

If we could give Ribbonwood more than 10 points, we would. Gary and Robert are warm, welcoming hosts who have carefully considered the needs of their guests and created a very special place to stay. The property, garden and views are all stunning, the rooms are beautiful and so comfortable, and breakfast is terrific. We loved every moment of our stay and very much hope to go back.

Spaciousness Fountain and grounds, beautiful. We have stayed in a lot more expensive places that weren't as good.

Leader Valley Cottage - A Tranquil Retreat For Two is situated in Mendip Hills and offers barbecue facilities. This chalet has a garden and free private parking.

A beautiful setting with picturesque gardens and exceptionally well equipped and comfortable interiors. It was a wrench to prise ourselves away after 2 nights of tranquil bliss. I particularly enjoyed cooking, which is often difficult and stressful on holiday as so many utensils and ingredients are unavailable. Not at Leader Valley, the kitchen is possibly better equipped than my own!

Featuring garden views, The Bunkhouse provides accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 39 km from Mt. Lyford. Boasting full-day security, this property also provides guests with a barbecue.

Well presented self contained accommodation with a lovely view. Very comfy bed, fitted out to sleep up to five using bunks. All beds are in one room with a large shower room off. No, there aren’t any cooking facilities, just a kettle for hot drinks, but this is clearly stated in the description. There is no dining table etc so it would be awkward to sit and eat unless you use the Bbq area outside. There are limited places to get food in Waiau or you can stop before you arrive. I spent the afternoon in Hanmer so was no issue at all. Host is lovely and the optional breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Great value for money.

Friendly people. Big trees. Green valley. Clean township. Great little supermarket. Best meats at Harris's butchery. Wish I had had time to go to Gore Bay on coastline .. so close. Great options for accommodation. Good distance from Chch and Kaikoura. Peaceful.

    I'm never disappointed with Cheviot.

I'm never disappointed with Cheviot. Discovered a great walk with the dog, which would also be amazing in spring with the daffodils in full bloom. The cafe I went to with friends was great, it was lovely to be able to have dogs in the outdoor courtyard, and the food was good.

Cheviot is a great place to stop to break up a long road trip. I would definitely recommend staying at the Cheviot Camp, Cabins and Motel. The Number 8 Coffee Shop is also wonderful. We were not impressed with the Cheviot Hotel restaurant. It's overpriced and we did not enjoy the food.

The Conway River View Cottage is a wee way from Cheviot, so I can only review the Conway River/Conway Flats area - it is absolutely lovely. A great place to escape the rat race :) As a writer, I enjoy places that inspire me - and this certainly did that. I could have lived there very comfortably.

    Great accommodation.

Great accommodation. Excellent room - very clean and well organised. Attention to detail with little extra touches - small Easter eggs, biscotti, slippers etc. Breakfast was lovely with home cooked muesli, stewed fruit and bread. Lovely gardens and amazing views across the valley and to the mountains. A lovely spa pool in a position to admire the spectacular views.
