The country side location was really beautiful. The hosts were absolutely amazing, very helpful and friendly. The cottage has all needed appliances and facilities you would need. Moreover, the owners have alpacas and various other domestic animals/birds in their backyard, so a huge plus for families with children.

We loved the coziness of the living room and the comfortable beds (they even had heating pads in them!). We also loved how friendly and kind Carol was.

A spacious, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean room, with an equally spacious ensuite bathroom with lovely wooden floorboards and a stained glass window featuring native birds and plants. The room had it's own entrance via a garden lined with roses and was very private. The owners thoughtfully provided extras such as home-baked cookies on arrival, non-caffeinated tea as well as regular, a corkscrew, scissors etc. The internet was good and the bed comfortable. We enjoyed the pancake breakfast and chatting with Gavin and Brenda who were wonderfully friendly hosts. Very happy to stay here!
We were there because of the annual automotive swap meet.
We were there because of the annual automotive swap meet. We have family living there. The town is pretty, easy to get around. We were recommended Aunty Jo Jo for fish and chips; very fresh and delicious.

quaint little place, clean and tidy town.
quaint little place, clean and tidy town. Appears to be growing industrially faster than domestically. Was a business trip so not a lot of tourist-type activities were undertaken. Went past a couple of interesting-looking museums. next time maybe.

Lovely friendly town. The town centre is beautiful with well maintained gardens. Great restaurants fabulous Friday market. 15 minutes to Palmerston North and 45 minutes to Whanganui. It’s an easy town to navigate as everything is well signposted. I will definitely be back

An attractive provincial town with good shopping facilities - several large supermarkets, an excellent Friday open-air market, some good op shops and a very large, weekly Friday livestock sale. An easy, 20-minute drive to the nearby university city of Palmerston North.
"Friendly Feilding" has won the the annual award for being New Zealand's most beautifull town numerous times.

Loved the Georgian architecture, very good meal at Murray's Irish pub wished we could have tried other places for meals as some of the menus looked good. Didn't get time to see the museum either but the autumn colour was great and we enjoyed wandering round Kowhai Park.

Did not have breakfast. Room was nice and warm when we arrived - that was good. Rooms are not that soundproof. I was awake when the people in the next unit left (quite early) so I could hear the car doors (loudly) and as it was a large vehicle, the sound of the engine when they left - (cars are parked very close to the units). But they were not unduly long in leaving. I loved the compendium booklet about the facilities in Feilding, places to eat and visit - that was great. So overall a very satisfactory place to stay.
The location. So close to Feilding, yet lovely and peaceful. As someone who lives rurally it’s always refreshing to be able to travel and stay rurally as well. Also the ducks were lovely to sit and watch, being duckling season was even better. My 11 month old really enjoyed being able to go and see the ducks.
An experience in a genuine old fashioned hotel.
Our room was clean, the bed comfortable. It was easy to heat with the provided plug in heater as it was a cold frosty night.
The separate bathroom was clean.
Reasonable value for money.
