The staff were quite judgemental based on previous race car people and were abrupt with their service meaning they were keeping such close eyes on us and picking on us from the moment we got there. It was our first ever time in Gisborne and it felt like we weren't welcome based on others.

The Gisbourne coastline is perfect for getting away and some great self-care time. The town offered a good range of food, clothing op shops, but getting away from the crowds and driving along the coast was only 20 minutes out of Gisbourne, was worth the trip absolute paradise, its my number one holiday spot, I will be returning

Gizzy is an awesome town to experience if you have never been there before. Lots to do especially walking, kayaking, swimming, surfing and exploring. The shops are great with some speciality clothing shops. Everywhere you go there is water.
Thoroughly recommend for whānau with children.

Enjoyed the drive to Gisborne from Havelock North.
Enjoyed the drive to Gisborne from Havelock North.
Liked the city. People were very nice, friendly and helpful.
Liked the park areas, botanical gardens, the harbour area.
Chose the wrong place to stay.
We ate at The Lone Star on the harbour the first night then the second night at CRK -Crawford Road Kitchen, excellent! Both had very nice staff.
Again enjoyed the drive from there to Shaker and our next stop.

Stayed in a glamping tent last time, returned and stayed in a new pod this time which was cool. Lots of different options. Clean and comfortable. Good facilities. I liked the eco theme, recycling, simple but really nice and luxury feel. Totally switched off from high stress job. Relaxing hearing the ocean. This is one of my favorite places to stay and will keep coming back.

The spacious rooms, the outdoor dining tables and being able to see the mountain, for our first time in Gisborne it was an amazing experience for my family, we will definitely be back
Very clean room and the staff at reception was very lovely and helpful. The room was spacious and everything was brand new.
