I liked the privacy and ease of access to the studio. The room may be small for some, but for me it was perfect. Super clean, well-appointed, comfortable with a nice little private patio outside. I couldn't help but notice how well-built the studio was.

This property was an unexpected wonderful surprise! It was so homey and comfortable and the owners provided so many amenities in it. The bed was the most comfortable one we used - and the shower was fantastic. Would highly recommend booking your stay here. It was within walking distance to restaurants & pubs - as well as the Lagoon walk. We loved our stay here!

It is an Eco lodge so toilets are composting and showers are timed. Some travelers might not care for this but it was fine - plus lots of educational posters explaining the process along with their solar panels. The add on dinner was superb. Did not expect such fine dining in a little town. Gardens and art were amazing also
This is a great base for hiking Aspiring National Park.
This is a great base for hiking Aspiring National Park. It is worth hunting out the less popular tracks such as Juday Track and Sugarloaf Pass as wellas the popular multi-day hikes: Greenstone, Caples, Routeburn and Rees- Dart, all of which are great but busy.

Glenorchy is out of this world. Stunning.
Glenorchy is out of this world. Stunning. The road trip there is overwhelming and there are so many fabulous hikes. The wee village has a great hotel with really nice food and vegetarian friendly, same with Mrs Woolly's General Store and good coffee.

Epic views and good walks to do.
Ate at Mr Glen's Taphouse - great coffee and cabinet food.
Recommend walk around boardwalk and lagoon.
Need a 4WD if going to Paradise - river crossings.

Exceptional location, very comfortable accommodation in the middle of nowhere! It's just worth every dollar and effort to get there, when waking up to the stunning view of the dart river and the magnificent mountain backdrop. Glenorchy is a very nice township and still worth visiting, but it's become a bit more crowded over the years... If the calm and authenticity of the mountains is what you're after, Kinloch retreat is definitely the place.
We'd like to compliment Arlene and her husband on her very friendly and good customer service. We loved that the hotel was directly beside the restaurant for dinner and breakfast, and directly across from the pub for additional dining options. Very close walk to the lake.
Beautifully decorated brand new studio, thoughtful details done with great taste, feels like a five star hotel room. Perfect location for exploring the area which is so beautiful. Hosts were super helpful and very responsive, highly recommended.
