Bathroom was ridiculously small and clumsy. It's one leg in and out.

The rooms are always clean and well-equipped with everything I need for a comfortable stay. The staff are friendly and accommodating. There is plenty of parking for motel guests. The BIG + for me is the security, which makes it a ease for business vehicles to park.

The place is just so loud it's impossible to sleep with all the noise the heaters must be oil and you can hear the pipes hum all night long. You here everything outside going on and someone was vacuuming the hallway at 1.20 am!

Me and my bestie booked a Red Balloon ride over the Waikato.
Me and my bestie booked a Red Balloon ride over the Waikato.
To avoid arriving late for the early start we stayed overnight.
Our motel was conveniently located so we walked the distance to the city asking a man on the street for his dining recommendation. He suggested Pickles Restaurant. An excellent choice. The food and staff were 10/10.
To the adventurous out there. Book or gift a balloon ride with Red Balloon. You won't regret it. Mark and his team are very professional. The views over Hamilton were spectacular. You'll love it.

Hamilton is located within a short drive to a number of other destinations like Rotorua, Auckland, Tauranga and Raglan Beach. Hamilton Gardens are a must see and only $20 each.
The eateries in central Hamilton were good too. Lots of choice. Particularly liked our meal at Portofino......but I like Italian food. The restaurant across the road, Furnace, also highly recommended.

Hamilton is a much larger city than we had expected with much attractive parkland and gardens. Not especially easy to find our way around, we felt. Our friends who live there tell us that the public transport is excellent

Hamilton zoo was well designed and laid out but disappointing. Very few animals on show, some enclosures seemd too small for cats eg cerval and fish cat. Not enough natives for overseas tourists eg bats, eels, weta, kiwi, takahe, skinks, stick insects etc

Collecting the keys was easy and not far from the accommodation itself. It was a lot of information but we got through it. I wish we had longer there to enjoy the apartment and having the kitchen was a bonus. The place was warm, and we could relax without feeling cooped up in a hotel. I will stay there again next time we're in Hamilton.
It's right in the cbd of Hamilton you'll find the sky casino just down the road & there's a variety of different restaurants & takeaways along Victoria Street and surrounding streets. Plus my girls home is 5 minutes drive from the hotel.
Definitley loved it , pool was an extra bonus. Clean rooms acceptable size , Worth bringing family. Will definitley be my go to hotel whenever in hamilton
